I totally agree. Being able to adjust in this manner opens a lot of doors for tanks. Also the monks and eles will benefit a lot.

well, if you could afford to pay more than 1 plat for skills, it's not that big a deal for ya, right?

But yeah, I could see where you're coming from. LOL

No, member invites also cost 100g

Well, because of that I spent all my 12 skill points in SoCs. They used to cost much less than normal trainer skills.

Loved a bunch of things about the update, especially the Titans Quests (which were both fun and frustrating, but also fun because they *were* frustrating). Definitely some of, if not, the most challenging quests in the game.

My only quibble is that you can't retake those quests over and over, like you can with the one from Shadow at Ember Light. At only five, the Titan Quests are over far too quickly preciesely because they were so enjoyable. Maybe the exp rewards could be toned down or gotten rid of altogether on repetition (the 50k exp for The Titan Source was just outrageous), but at least you'd have the option to do them again for the fun of it!

As for high-level henchies in the respective areas... nah. Aside from Droknar's (which I did with all henchmen) and maybe Ascalon (the easiest one thereafter), I doubt they'd measure up where skilled humans failed. But I guess there's nothing wrong with trying It was hard enough trying to find a monk for The Titan Source anyway (ended up inviting a friend who didn't have the quest) since there seem to be so few people with the quest.

I totally agree!

If I want to PvP or GvG I can switch from hammer to sword, to ax, or whatever, then switch right back and continue to PvE. Nothing like getting stuck half way with half points in hammer, and half in swords, and you can't fully use the weapon because you ran out of att point refunds!

I can now choose whatever set-up I want for the mission, quest, PvP, and GvG, without worrying about how many points I have... or don't have.

Yes, I understand that on-the-fly changes were cool, but given the choice between the two ways, I do perfer the way Anet did it in this update.

I love this update, though I too would like to be able to toggle capes, and have two more character slots, and add sparring between guild mates in the guildhall. Also, I would love 10, instead of 8 skill slots, lol

There is no need for you to act like a moron. If you don't like it state why in a constructive way and move on.

Go start your own game company so crybabies can cry about you.

Green items were actually meant to make the elitists equal to players who don't bother spending hours farming for items. You'll be right if green items start selling for hundreds of thousands of gold, but at the moment, keep your *****ing to a minimum, please.

Ele's are the best for clearing large mobs in pve, and monks are necessities, but overpowered? Since smiting as farming has been considerably dented, single-minded monks without the specific builds can't even hold their own in higher level maps.

As for your other complains, they seem like cheap filler. I'm sure you're ever the ardent one about not spamming, but no one likes starchy hot dogs.

I'm gonna be blatently honest, I think that upgrade RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed the game up. I mean the whole key thing and going to a chess and it guarentees a rare weapon....well thats just gay. And then having to pay 100g to invite someone into guild, I mean I have plenty of money but what about those that don't. But I dont like the update all over.

If your guild cant afford 100g to invite someone, well shame on you. The 100g cost is a step towards stopping the huge amount of unrequested guild invites that non-guild members receive.

I play both PvE and PvP and in my opinion this was a HUGE step in the right direction of what the game has always promised.

Thank you. That was A.net's goal with the priced guild invites, so not too many new players would keep making guilds and leave them running.]

Ok I went a little far on that last post that I was complaining about and I'm sorry. I easily have the money to invite someone into guild if I need to. The key thing is what gets to me. I like the randomness of not knowing if your going to be lucky or not, but here you get a purple or gold all the time when you use a key. And for the green weapons people are saying how they get them everytime they kill a boss, I have gone out killing bosses, ive killed everything out side of warcamp place in mines part and I had to buy a green to get one. Do they drop often or not? Also the economy kinda sucks no one wants to buy golds or purples all they want is green, I had all max dmg and gold and stuff and this green just totally screwed me over lol.

Maybe those quest should be repetable but with no exp rewards ala missions? That would be the solution.

sorry to those of you complaining about the attribute thing, but you couldnt change you skills mid mission, so whats the big deal?

One the note about the chests - I haven't bought a key yet, i have had at least three keys drop for me. first 2 keys were in the shiverpeakes yielded me a pretty nice max dmg gold bow with mods and a sup rune of marksmanship

third key was a miners key and I used it in SF - guess what i got!?!?!?!

are you ready?

A max dmg purple bow with, get this -------- NO MODS!!!!!!!!!!!!

thank god i didnt buy that key and waste 1.5k

Shmash!

ps - i love this update despite my bad experience with the one key...

even normal invites to guilds cost 100g yes. I like the refund points all the time. if ur going to make a char for something then do it. and if u need to change to a runner its nice that u dont have to build up refund points thats wat ur skills are equipped for are the attributes u have them into. its not a nerf in my opinion. if ur gonna complain about it dont play.

Firstly... I'd like to comment on the guild member payment for recruiting. Yes... I can understand what reasons for why they did it, to minimize the spaming of "who wants to join my guild", but honestly I'm still seeing the same amount of spaming for that, so it's obvious the idea sucks. Tack on the fact that 20-50% of your guild is bound to disappear off the face of the planet when each suddenly is drawn to another game. So suddenly you're wasting money by even having a guild period. So ultimately this 100 gold fee to invite a member/guest is rather ridiculous.

Next topic... I don't know whether they nerfed the Footprint/SF areas of items or if it's just because they are so heavily farmed, but Anet said these areas would offer high quality/unique items to players who wanted them. In my recent experience with a full group of real players/henchies or a group of 5 players/henchies... the drops have significantly sucked to put it bluntly. 1/4 of the spawns don't drop anything anymore. The rest aren't even dropping high end normal items. Seeing lots of blues and normal... nothing max. I've gone so far as to even get a 10-17 sword dropped. A 10-17 sword!? Come on! You can get something like that right out of Post searing Ascalon for heaven sakes!

Now the chest issue? Eh... personally the idea behind them are great. BUT... I don't see the value in buying a 600 gold key for a purple item that's only going to sell to a player at a max of maybe 300. I'm losing money that way.
Shiverpeak chests appear nicely spread out. Can usually find about 5-6 within the entire massive area. SF however sucks big time. In the 20 times I've been there now I've been lucky to comes across one or two chests and that's maybe 4 of the 20 times I went into the place. They seriously need to up the chest count in that area and just as importantly... increase the over all value of the item inside or decrease the cost of the keys significantly to match the average lowest valued item dropped from them.

Green items? This started out REALLY well and admittedly perhaps dropped FAR too often. Could make 1 run and nab a green from just about every boss. But now... you can make a run 15 times and be lucky to get 1 green for someone in the party. Those odds are out right pathetic.

As for the person who complained about Elementalists sucking.... well... they're not meant to be tanks firstly. They rock if they can hang back untouched. They nuke the heck out of everything then. Monks... I think was wise to nerf them a little bit though i think some skills they were a little too harsh on the nerfing.

Anyway... that's all i got to say.

I think you got that absolutely spot on. In particular the comments regarding the lack of decent weapon drops (in particular GREEN) in Grenth's Footprint & Sorrow's Furnace. How about a new area in the next update - Sod's Law. In GF and SF I must have killed a good 40-50 bosses with mixed groups (all henchies/all players/some of each) and have seen few green item drops... only one of them mine.
