Default Final Assault Comments

Well, I led a group that finished the Final Assault quest Saturday night. I have to admit, it was probably the hardest and longest quest I had done over the entire game. Needless to say, it took about 6 times before we beat it. The hardest part was finding a group that didn't have a player that would drop. People give up so easily. Any way, after having 1 guy bitch at me for attacking before his monk spell points completely regenerated, he decided to drop after getting himself killed running to the SF portal alone. Bad move on his part, because we decided to go back to Dedrimor Camp and pick up his replacement, Lina the henchy. Then we beat it without him. I forgot his name, but I really wanted to spam his ignorant butt. Now he's going to spend the next month or so trying to get a good group to finish the quest. Oh well....

Without giving away too much. We had a combination of 2 warriors, 2 elementalists, 1 necro minion master, 1 ranger, and 2 monks with 1 being Lina (who I know wouldn't drop). The most difficult part of the mission is the ending location or what I call the Furnace. Going into the Furnace is bad enough with the robot trying to kill you and then having to kill the 3 binders nearly at the same time. But after that, the 3 flame djinn were even tougher. None of us had gotten this far before so it was brand new to us. We ended up killing the 1st djinn of the 3 (which was pretty easy). Then the other 2 stayed together which made it equally tough. Little did we know, that if we were all at melee striking distance, the 400hp damage would be spread across all us. Instead me and another warrior were taking the full impact at 200hp a piece. That hurts! Even with all of this, we ended up killing them, but not without a lot of blood, sweat, and tears.

For those of you who don't mind having spoilers, here is a good site to help you fight the djinn at the end.

Good Luck

For me, it is most annoying of all quests so far - reason? First time, I did it all the way with henchies, but couldn't kill binders in time - being monk limits my firepower too much. Later I tried with friend, however, 2 of us was not enough as well. Finally, I got full group... and got DCed right after we cleared Guardians and patrols near binders... At that point I said - f... it, it's not worth 8k. Not to mention Sorrow Flame/Fist is *insanely* annoying.
It is not really that hard, but gets boring if you die again and again to that damn lava/fist. I had way more fun with Titans quest so far(Last Day was quite a battle, and I still have Kryta to finish)

My last attempt at this quest failed because our only ele went afk.
When we all died, he said he wasn't afk at all and that he was just watching us die while eating and laughing.
This prompted the team to lose the spirit to continue with this leech hanging on us.
I have however completed this quest before and i must say that it is quite enjoyable. It's just not one of those quests which can be repeated because there are so many idiots and griefers spoiling things.
"Bunch up, get close" - what's so hard to understand?

It is just a great mission because it is so funny. I wouldn't call it the hardest...
finished it with a PUG of 6 (2 early drops). All 60 dp at the end, so we had some laughs while getting smacked badly by the ironman's tricks and fire djinn's. but keep ressing, and we got it slowly bit by bit.

killing fire djinns is very easy with a minion master. If you don't have enough minions after having killed the robot, you can notice that gardians were on some lava wells. Juste suicide on it again and again and make a minion's army of around 25-30 skelettons. They will all tank the djinns who will deal them like 2-3 dmg each hit. Just stay behind and nuke them. If you lose, just make another army with the same strategy.

Enjoy ;-)

??? Eating and laughing? Publish his name! Lets all put him on our ignore lists and make sure we never party up with him.

People who crap out on a group in the middle of a quest or mission should be strung up in public (their character names should be published so we can all avoid them!).

I have this happen to me all too often! Someone AFK cuz they were eating, someone leaving in the middle of a mission because they have to eat or need to go to bed. Last night a high level ranger wanted to help us do a quest around Kryta. We let him because he also needed to do the quest but he just dropped out on us before we finished the quest.

Too much of this "gotta go guys, thanks!" mid-mission.

Well duh.....how do you expect a monk to keep you alive if s/he doesn't have time for skills and energy to recharge? It's attitudes like yours that aggravates monks. You go charging ahead and don't care weather everyone else is ready. I'm really surprised you passed that quest, you probably did in spite of yourself.

Well Ryker, your point is taken, but to be honest with you, this guy was a fool to begin with. He had plenty of time to regen his points, EVEN ALL SPELLCASTERS AND THE OTHER MONK AGREED IT WAS AMPLE TIME (2 minutes total). He was just a complete f**k up. If you NOTICED in my post, this was the same fool that ran all by himself to the SF portal before the rest of the group, got his dumb ass killed, and then left the group. Everyone wanted his sorry ass out before we even started. So here's my point, "Read the post before you comment next time".

.....so I stand by my original statement. He wouldn't have bitched you out if his spells were all recharged.

Dumb ass, he had 2 minutes. All of us went ahead of him because, like you, was bitching and moaning about needing more time. If you can't get your sh*t together in 2 minutes, then maybe you shouldn't play the game. So my guess now is the player we are talking about is probably you. While you tend to represent this person, you're probably dumb enough to run ahead of the group and get your sorry ass killed. Serves you right. No one needs you. Here's my point, "cry all you want to, bitch all you want to, the more you comment, the more it tells everyone in this forum just how naive you are. Not only naive, but stupid enough to represent noobs in the game".

Also, as a sidenote, I talked to 1 of our guild members who was in our quest together and he still had that persons character name. He PM'd him and asked if he finished the quest yet. Guess what he said, 'no, it's too hard and i have yet to find a group to complete it with'. Now this is who you are representing Ryker? You're such a silly noob. Peace out.

Oooooooookay, stop the flaming.

As a piece of advice to everyone, it's best to wait until everyone has their energy and skills completely refreshed before going ahead. Even though I have no idea what that Monk was casting or how bad his energy management was (if the guy was running around with a 15/-1 or 2, and had been maintaining Enchants, it might have actually taken 2 minutes for Energy to recharge), going ahead without someone is a bad idea, especially if it's one of the Monks. (I'm still trying to figure out how you can tell a henchie's energy is ready.)

As another piece of advice, tanks should be well ahead of the squishy casters, so the casters should stay back. Understanding aggro is something both the aggroer and the casters should learn.

You both make valid points on this case. However, i've played gw since it has come out. i have 2 accounts and 8 character combinations. 6 have completed the game in its entirety. not too mention being a member of the guild, Team Union, which is number 1 on the gw ladder. i have played as a w/mo, mo/? quite a bit and have found through my adventures that anyone taking up 2 minutes to regenerate mana has seriously over-thought there character or cannot manage their character correctly. As a w/mo in 1 of my character builds, having a monk regenerating that long is very annoying and unneeded. As a monk in gw, you must manage yourself accordingly. you cannot sit back and expect everyone to wait on you to manage yourself. i have run into this a few times playing with other people. it is true that many of them do not know how to play very well or it is some kid that thinks he knows it all. for the most part though, i would agree with pllsatx on this issue. And i am sorry to be a thorn in people's side, but ryker, you need to understand your role if you are playing a heavy spellcaster. manage your character better and you will not be disappointed in the outcome. a regen rate of 1 minute should suffice if you used your character wisely. and to make 1 other comment, having a monk leave the group and run ahead and then drop.... is completely idiotic.

this is my 2 cents worth

This quest is so hard because it's almost impossible to get 7 other people to stay until the end, kill the binders within the small res window, and stay bunched up when fighting the djinns. Human nature seems to save it's choicest stuff for when people are on the anonymous internet, no?

Only the ignorant have to resort to name calling and only noobs call others noob. No, it wasn't me because I don't do PUGS(I'd rather take henchies if guildies aren't available), I do not run ahead, nor do I drop out in the middle of a mission/quest.

I represent no one but myself. I just made a simple statement that most pugs just go charging ahead without letting people recharge skills and energy and then get mad when they die.

I've tried with henchmen a few times and I just can't get all the binders down in time before they resurrect. I'm curious if anyone has been able to do with henchmen only. I've gotten so close but to no avail.
