Since the spirits last so long after they're cast (141 seconds, I believe), it's possible to dart in after they're thrown up, take down 1 or 2 behemoths, then run back out of range and wait for the next round to go up. I've been able to go up against mobs of 2 and 3 behemoths; I haven't tried against a mob of 4 yet. Here's my system for taking them down (assuming a mob of 2 behemoths):

1. Stand patiently outside of NR range waiting for spirit to die. Helps to have a book to read during this part!
2. As soon as spirit dies and is recast, run in and start firing your wand (I use 11-22 collector's smiting rod) at 1st behemoth.
3. As soon as you see 1 of the behemoths starting to cast Healing Spring, target and disrupt him.
4. As soon as you've disrupted the 1st behemoth casting Healing Spring, target the 2nd. He will almost immediately begin to cast his own Healing Spring, which you should be able to disrupt.
5. As soon as you've disrupted the 2nd behemoth's Healing Spring, cast SoJ and resume attacking the 1st behemoth.
6. The behemoths will continue to attempt casting Healing Spring every 10 seconds in the order established at the beginning of the fight, so keep switching your target after disrupting an attempt.
7. Unfortunately the behemoths have a stance they occasionally use to block attacks. If this stance keeps you from disrupting Healing Spring it will set you back.
8. Remember you only have 141 seconds to work with! I use a watch to keep track of time and book out of range when the spirits are getting ready to go down.

If all this seems like a lot of effort for minimal gain... well, it is. I'll be honest; there really isn't any profit in it. The behemoths mostly drop worthless collector's items. The most excitement I've had going through them drop-wise is getting a glob of ecto from one of the Charged Blackness in the area. But I'm not doing it for the profit... I'm doing it for the adventure!

Well first you get a few of those mesmer spirit guys like from the escort of souls quest, nothing too bad - you should survive with a group. When you kill them you rest to regen when all of a sudden a bigger group of them appear - you lose a couple of you party and start to res them when a group of about 8 appear and if you are lucky one of you survives to res the rest. Repeat about 6 times to get to the monument.

E Renewal only lasts 10s which is not long enough to kill everything--you will die roughly 2s after it runs out. I am running with a variation of this build which has E Renewal along Prot. Spirit. Works well, but I got owned by the grasping darknesses. I will try again after I go pickup that -50hp item from that quest. Luckily I have another lowlevel char that is about to complete that quest so I can swipe it tonite maybe.

this involves a lot of effort, or I think it does...

invovles a lot of swapping and re-casting... and patiences lol!!!

so people who aren't patient will get frustrated from doing all of this...

so hopefully they wont nerf the monk skills lol...

I was thinking of trying to do this, but I guess all the runes are jacked up haha..

so oh well lol! I should make a diff build that involves cheapy runes lol! get those all jacked up LOL!!!

I was checking the Scribe who was supposed to have the quest with the -50 HP item in Ascalon but none of the 2 Quests I saw there had the Item I've heard so much about.

Sword or Axe...especilly using Cycone Axe is not good against Aataxes. They put up reposet and Deadly Reposte. You Kill yourself quickly even with a bond.

Make sure you kill the PBond if it is at 2 before recasting. Or read the forum to see where this has been answered 10 times.

this sucks, I really wanted to try this build (couldnt sleep last night coming up with altercations) I wake up this morning, get the items I need, go to rune trader and bam, all the sup monk runes are at least 30k. why do I always get screwed over by one thing or another?

Is it really worth it???
I have been farming UW for a coupla days now and i don't get anything that great. Sure ecto is worth around 10K, but I get them sooooo rarely; besides with all the people farming there, ectos must go down in price soon. Overall farming in UW takes a lot of time. There are places where I can kill much more mobs much faster. All I am saying is that UW was fun to try, definetely fun, but it ain't the best place to make money.
Although, this place will never get nerfed, I am pretty sure of that.

i got a 14 minute UW smite run but its about 96MB so I just watch it myself.
