As the title hints at... I need help with the last three Glint missions. I have Ascalon, Lion's Arch and Denrav (however that capital is spelled) Now I completed the Droknar forge one from Citadel with a complete pug of assorted people all lv20 who needed the mission. However LA you can only have 6 people in the group, same as with Denrav and only 4 in a group for Ascalon. I rarely see people in any of those areas looking for titan group people and I believe Hench use is completely out of the question as lv3-lv15 hench are no match for lv24-lv28 titans. I have not attempted to complete these missions yet. But I'm looking for good places to start.

Now I am wondering if for example that Yak's Bend might be the place to start for Titan ascalon mission because you can form a 6 man group. But do you need to enter any towns and talk to people before hand that might need to be taken care of first? I know a 6 man group walking into a 4 man town boots out 2 of the people right?

Anyway any suggestions would be appreciated.

Most people that are interested in doing "Defend North Kryta Province" hang out in Temple of the Ages, especially when there's no favor. The group then has one person run the party all the way back to Bergen Hot Springs. (At this point, the party shows up as 8/6.) For this particular quest, make sure you at least speak with Firstwatch someone-or-other (the one within Lion's Arch that normally gives the Galrath quest) before you start from ToA.

You don't need to start out with six for "The Last Day Dawns"; most people are able to do it with a group of four starting at the Frontier Gate.

If you feel like cheating a little bit, Denravi is simple with six if you don't talk to the NPC standing right outside.

As long as no one leaves the party, you can run from TOA all the way to wherever you need to go. I've done that a couple of times. Have never finished North Kryta, LDD, or whatever comes after that though. PUGs suck for these mission, in my experience.

No. Like one of the other posters said, it will show up as 6/4 or 8/6, as the case may be. Everyone stays in the party. I recently managed to complete several of the titan quests across my two main chars. Droks was easy and seems to require least effort to form a group.

Defend Denravi can be done easily with six people. Just remember not to talk with Evennia outside the portal so she doesn't follow you. This will give you the opportunity to respawn should your party be wiped. It's actually a very quick quest. The first time I did it successfully I was in a party with 3 warriors, a monk, an ele (me) and something else... maybe Alesia. Keep in mind that fire does exceptional damage to these titans (they are plants after all) so maybe a ranger w/greater conflagration would help. For Denravi, watch out that you don't get ambushed from behind, as titans will attack from 3 directions or so. Keep moving and retreat constantly if necessary. The quest is over once you kill the boss. Note: I did this back when fire storm still worked, so it was in my opinion the easiest of the titan quests. We finished it, realized one of our warriors forgot to equip the quest, let him grab it, and did it again in 5 minutes. That's how simple it was then. I would suggest bringing a GoR/echo nuker or two now.

I just managed to do LDD for the first time a few days ago in a group of four. I spend some time in Yak's yet I never see anyone LFG for titan quests. Anyway, I had some strange results while attempting it. On two different days I tried with two different groups, both of which consisted of a ranger, warrior, monk, and ele (me again). Again, nukers can put out some great, great damage, but only to the titans and sparks and only if someone uses winter. The charr lords don't seem particularly affected by cold damage, but it works very well against the other monsters. When I tried it the first time, we could barely keep up at all with the incoming waves of enemies (there are 5, with the last one having two armageddon lords). The second group actually had a few seconds to breathe in between battles, which was great for my energy regen. Often it seems the hardest party of this quest is finding a monk to group with, although people have done it monkless, which is quite a feat. I suspect a really good minion master would clean up on this mission, as there are a lot of low lvl charr walking around out there in addition to their stronger counterparts. Just remember to keep the king alive at all costs. He is a reasonably powerful tank but if he dies, your whole party goes with him. I think there used to be a bug where he would die and you could complete the mission without him, then rezone and talk with him again, but that didn't work for me.

Defend Kryta. Thus far, of the four Titan missions I have completed, DNKP is definitely the most challenging. I've done it twice and I think it is my favorite because it is a non-stop, edge-of-your-seat kill fest. Once you begin to defend the actual settlement, the titans just keep coming in waves and never seem to stop. This was challenging even in an 8-man pug, with no time to breathe between fights. As an ele, my ehaustion at one point reached 60 points or so, I was casting meteor shower so often. IMO 2 ele's is very nice, as each MS hit does over 120 dmg i believe. A skilled ss/echo necro could probably do a nice job too, but I think that fire is No. 1 agaisnt titans. Personal bias, I guess. When I did it as a necro, we only had one monk. I learned from my previous experiences that the monks were constantly low on energy, so I decided to go the battery route instead of ss (I've never even played an mm so I can't comment on that). I was using bip and br constantly, bip mostly on the monk and br on the eles. We had only two deaths and pulled through rather well, I must say. Remember to keep an eye out for Captain Greywind. He won't dash in like the King, but if he dies so do you.

I haven't even tried titan source yet, but I'm guessing it will be easier than DNKP, at least. There is no one you have to protect, so you can take your sweet time and will be ressed if you die. Bring candy canes, I guess. The last three bosses do sound quite irritating though. They stuck a mesmer, a necro and a ranger together. Sounds like a recipe for trouble. I'll post here again with my results/experiences if I manage to finish it within the next week.

I'll help out sometime if you're on. I have two accounts. I can provide a ranger, warrior, SS necro (or anything else blood or curse related), or an elementalist. Give me a week or so and I might add a mesmer and an MM to that list.

Well thanks for the awsome tips and advice. I sorta skipped part of the kryta missions due to this being my forth character (yet the only one to beat the game) so I have gone back for missed locations. Those include Denravi but I'm pretty close to getting that location. I'll remember not to talk to the NPC. I assume by Titan Source your refering to a 5th mission after completing the 4 glint missions of Droknar, Denravi, LA and Ascalon? Also if the king or Greywind die... that means you die to. I understand that. But does that mean you will all res and can continue? Because if thats the case then I'm fine with that lol. Whats another couple deaths and I got 60cc I saved up from christmas just for this sort of thing.

Ruthann Drygoon is my mesmer IGN that has the missions, I'll add you and maybe we can get some done together. I do not believe I'll be trying any of these anyway until I have cleared Kryta which I'm close to doing anyway so it may be a week before I ask for some ingame help.

You can and should talk to the NPC's within the towns. However, outside Denravi you should avoid talking to Evennia (she'll have an exclamation above her head). That way she won't tag along, and in the event your party gets wiped, you just respawn. Also, should the npc you are trying to protect die, your whole party dies instantly and you DO NOT get ressed. A small window pops up with the option to return to the previous outpost, exactly as if you would have failed a mission. And yes, Titan Source if the fifth and final quest in the series, available only after completing all the defense quests. You go out into the tar pits past the shrine where Althea's Ashes were and launch an attack on the leaders of the Titan army. My IGN is Danica Cutestory if you want help with anything.
