I just ran out to him. He has clay, not mud.

~Edit-I got the screenshot seconds before I died while pegged at max degen from a bazillion Parasitic Bonds. Yes, lots of scarabs.

Ebon Dragon Swords, of course! The Sand Elementals are building their secret cave, brick by brick. Just wait till summer, when it's done...

That crafter has been there forever. You even go and talk to him in the first quest you get in the desert (started in Oasis).

As for the Bricks - no use. Much like half the other stuff...

GW has ALOT of unused crafting material..

Maybe it's to make a Mud Fort, much like the Ice Fort from the Snowball Arena?

I do not beleive Bricks of Mud drop anywhere, and thus Clay Bricks cannot be crafted. This does not matter much, since no current armor or weapon requires either of the two. Spiritwood Planks and Vials of Ink also have no purpose, although I beleive that the ink used to be used for monk tattoos. Tempered Glass Vials have a use- making Vials of Ink, which means that they're still not really useful. Mainly, I beleive most people in the game ignore these materials and never craft them, since they are completely useless.

I bet that spirit wood is used for that spirit armor on that ranger...

But yes, no use as of today.

Something also thats cool.

You can make Tempered Glass Vials, and use those to make the vials of ink - but look - The image for Tempered vails in the list for things needed for Ink looks nothing like the actual item.

They updated the graphics of tempered vials, but didnt update this crafter.
