Default Exploring in the Fissure of Woe/Underworld

I am curious about the land of Fissure of Woe and Underground. Most group I found only go there for what they call the "book quest". as soon as they done with that then they all return back to Temple of the Ages. Almost the same thing in the Underground, except people are after the terrorweb for ectos and/or after spider capture.

Therefore I want to know is there any explorer out there whom have fully explore in either Fissure of Woe or Underground or maybe both.

speaking mostly about fow: it takes 4-5 hours depending on the group...
And i've been to guild groups with voice comm that get their asses kicked and fall apart in burning forest and i've been in pug's that fly thru the whole place in like 3.5 hours... really depends on your luck

I highly doubt I'll make it this far. People do not care about exploring the land like I do therefore most people in the group leave as soon as they're done with book quest and forgemaster quest.

Don't take PUG's. You might die, if immidiatly, you have to find a new group, if you were already busy for longer, you might even lost favor. Try with a guild group, then you'll have more chance of getting far.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I love to explore myself. One cool place I recently found is half way between ToA and The Wilds. There is like small temple of Balthazar with bunch of bone dragons guarding it.

First of all: It's Underworld, not Underground.

There are indeed people who have cleared out all of FoW and UW. The most remarkable ones can be found at these links:

yeah, finding a guild group probably have much better luck getting far in either FoW/UW but unless I know some guild otherwise finding guid group to join to FoW can be hard.

Get the best players and those who are also interested on your friendslist. Then pm em anytime you want to go into FoW/UW for the other quests. In due time you'll have a large friendslist to select from, worked for me. Hardly ever have to pug it and haven't used the book trick in ages.

Yeah, I know the place you're talking about. I am able to explore the whole world outside of Fissure of Woe and Underworld. Too bad I can't explore the FoW/UW alone with henchman.

Explored UW completly finally... with my mesmer

It took... 1-2 hours finding a pug 5k entry fees (I was paying for all of them) and.. 5 hours of actual exploration time. Our tank dropped leaving only our damage warrior reasonably early in the run. The only thing where I can say I cheated in picking a group is.. the war. is my b/f and the two monks were room mates (but we didn't know them before that trip).

Forming a group yourself would be the way to go, advertise it as either exploration trip or clearing UW or FoW and interview the monks if you're going UW!

Good way to find out if your group is worth it is clearing the smites first, most groups tend to fall appart there, at least, from experience. And each time you fail, kick the ones who you know screwed up and will continue to screw up.

you can normally tell the skill of you group after the first quest (in FoW) If people complain or go "woot" when they get shards usually it wont be a strong group. Find a group that likes to have fun and work together, thats why i joined my guild, they are fun helpful and dont mind drops. Although it does get irritating . If you find a good group add the leader to your friends list and see if they want to play in the future.

BTW not all W/Mo's are bad

Woot!

Fissure for some reason is a better place than UW, alot more co-ordination and team work is needed for that place and its a lot more fun to explore. Maybe that's there are so few groups going to Fow than UW.... Underworld isn't fun anymore. What was once a fun place to explore has been systematically degraded into an ecto factory with a revolving door.

I find people wanting to go to the forgemaster even though they arnt getting armor quite unusual. I would rather explore and do other stuff. When I went to get my armor with a pug they all left after I got it You would have though they would want to explore elsewhere.

it seems so because people that farm ectos and cap spiders only see half of UW at most, but UW is fun place to, its just much harder to find group to go there.

one thing that really bugs me is how did those guys manage to kill groups with multiple shadow monks... neither war skills nor ss seem to provide enough firepower to overcome those damn healers. Even if they dazed one, the other one is still healing. And i know at least one place that they had to clear (by Nimrod teh hunter) where group has 3 shadow monks. Even with Defile flesh seems a bit unrealistic.

If anyone is interested in a group to clear the UW send me a PM and I'll see if I can organise one. Tell me what characters you have available and what time you are available - also if you have voice comms (I have a TS server).

Sounds cool, but which contient are you on? It's pretty vital that everyone is in the same continent when you're planning a trip to UW or FoW...

I'm in Europe, BTW.
