3-4 man fow run
Well, this build isnt at all comlicated.
it just some thing i have tried and it works grate.
A 55 Monk:
15 Divine Favor (16 if you put a +1 divine scalp)
14 Healing Prayers
10 Protection Prayers
skills:
Mending , Balthazar's Spirit , Essence Bond , Blessed Aura,
Blessed Signet , Protective Spirit , Healing Breeze, Spell Breaker{E}
An SS\SV necro (just the normal build of it)
1\2 Ranger\s with:
Barrage, Tiger's Fury , Savage Shot , Distracting Shot , Rebirth, Ressuraction Signet, Whirling Defense\ Lightning Reflexes ,
Dodge (in any case you have a problem run away and start ressing)
The things you can kill:
Shadow's (all of them in the area, even you can complete the first quest ^^
5,000 exp ftw)
Skeletals at the way to the forgemaster (just make sure the monks use
spell breaker and that every one will do their jobs ^^)
i wont explain so much on the build or on the ways cuz im too lazy,
mayb ill add a short movie\pictures or some thing :P.
at the last run today 3 of us got 2 shards for each and 1 got 1 shard
7 shards the whole run.
p.s: the rebirth is in case the monk is stuck with some patrols so you
pull him with rebirth few times and then use Ressuraction Signet.

3 man FoW is better with a warrior to tank, you know
You don't really need SV on the necro, in all honesty its a hindrance, you're better off with N/Mo for Rebirth (you don't need ess bond, soul reaping and +15/-1 energy items support you).
FoW has been cleared before by 3 (W, Mo, N), and I can say that a single SS necro is enough damage (because a war tank can supply his own power). With a 55 you'd probably need the 4th damager.

Well you don't get any DP when they die DUE To vengenance, however if the monk dies he will have a -15 DP after the vengenance + rebirth combo.
Vengence is good so that the monk can remove his -50 icon and/or a peice of armor so rebirth works.

What is the tank build that you use for 3-4 man teams?
Is it the same basic build using 2-3 stances, dolyaks, rebirth, maybe endure or sprint?
I've done all the usually spots with 5 man teams using my ranger or tank.
I tanked 2 mobs with good 5 man teams and it wasn't too hard, so with a 3 man team and 1 mob at a time sounds more difficult, but doable.
I'd like to try it out so if anyone wants to run, lmk.

Sure, you could (that tactic is the 3man UW setup), though with the slight reduction in damage you might need a bit more firepower to overwhelm 2x smoke walker groups.

i do 3-4 man FoW with guildies.
We go 55 monk. Echo SS necro. and backfire, interrupt, esurge mesmer. Then if we go fourth, another monk with SB when the 55 monk SB runs out, extra healing...

Echo SS isn't worth it usually... SS recharges in 10 seconds anyways. You can get a lot more damage out by not relying on arcane echo and using all the other curses you have (although things like barbs need a warrior that hits to trigger). The time that echo SS is beneficial is UW, because you need the maximum amount of damage under a time limit (SV for smites, SB for mindblades). You have plenty of time in FoW
Sure, using an interrupt mesmer is useful... but if you use a warrior tank with skull crack, thats the 55 and the interrupter all in one (and much more effective interrupting). Desecrate is just as good a killing spike as Surge, and final thrust isn't bad (on the war).
