Default Pig quest nerfed

The pig quest no longer gives you extra ettins. It just happend minutes ago. I loaded the area and i had to download files. When I went in...no more ettins...at all...zero.

Just letting everyone know. Not a complaint to Anet thread.

Oh well. Guess ill finish the quest.

Um, sounds like you just got a bad case there. I just did the quest about two hours ago, and I got attacked by ettins.

Oops. It seems it was someone in my group that affected it nvm

sorry

it was weird though that i had to download files. something in the quest did change. When I went with my group the pig was in a different spot and there were no ettins at all anywhere around that i saw.

But when I went back to solo they were in the usual spot.

Whatever it was also caused the skill guy to disappear and all the lynx around.

Someone in your group had Titan quests active.

What he said. If you don't know what the Titans quests are, search, or keep playing the game to completion.

Um..I've done the Titan quests before. But I didnt know it caused other quests to change their location. Normally when I do Titan quests its the only quest I have in that area.

Hmm. Actually you are wrong. *I* have the Titan quests active. And the ettins are there when I solo.

So what now?

OK. Titans I understand. But what's this about the pig quest and ettins? Do you get more ettins after you've completed it or before you've completed it or what?

And where exactly are these ettins? In the same zone as Ascalon Settlement, or in the usual place in Nebo Terrace east of Beetletun?

The quest you get from farmer dirk in Ascalon Settlement where you chase the pig around. When the quest is active there are about 8 or 10 ettins at the zone portal that come through in groups of 2 or 3 every minute or so. Keeping this quest active lets you farm extra ettins.

When I went through with some guildies, the ettins were gone and the pig changed his starting location. When I solo, the ettins are in their usual spot.

Must be another quest that changes it. Or maybe people with an updated version of the quest effect it? Since I obtained the quest long ago.

So you do mean by Ascalon Settlement, not in Nebo Terrace, right?

Yeah. Its next to Nebo. When you finish the Ettin run in Nebo there is a portal nearby with a rez shrine and tengu nearby it. Go in that zone and you will see some NPCs standing around. Some citizens, gaurds and a guy named farmer dirk. He gives you the pig quest.
