I am a stickler for my own spelling, but I usually don’t criticize other people’s.

I will, however, recommend everyone give their own posts a once-over to make sure it’s saying what you think it’s saying, before hitting “Submit.”

If your original post had been a tad more coherent, I would never have contributed to this thread now that it is a little more clear what it’s about. Sorry to waste your time.

I don't think it's realistic to be asking for a 4 man build that's just as efficient as the (arguably) fastest 8 man build out there. Of course it will take longer -- there's only half as many people. But the point is that though it's longer, the # of drops will be higher per person... just a tradeoff you have to weigh for yourself.

And as far as trapping, I don't think it's as slow as many of you do. First off, traps expire after 90 sec., not 2 min. Thus, you set traps, pull 4, 8, 20, or whatever (depending on your level of skill) and all of a sudden, 90 sec. after you started, they're all instantaneously dead. Yes, it requires you to know what you're doing, and no, it's probably not as fast as an 8 man b/p team, but it's most certainly not 2+ minutes for a kill or two, as the tone of the above posts indicate.

I personally feel that you are a little mistaken on this point of a B/P team.

- The B/P Rangers should be providing 70%-80% of the damage in a B/P team.
- The MM's minions should be "Meat Shields" and "Body Blockers", and basically serve as disposable tanks, but should still be providing 20%-30% of the team damage output.

The reason it becomes so dificult when the MM leaves is that it leaves the damage dealers and "Softies" (i.e. - Monk, Necro(s), etc.) open to annihilation.

When the MM leaves, which honestly sucks, pets become the only tanks, and therefore become priority #1 if you wish to have any chance of success.

I too have found a way to do 3 or 4 man runs in ToPK, but for nerf's sake, will not reveal the specifics. (Hint: The team consists of 1 tank, 1 monk, and 1-2 necros)

i no that it doesnt take exactly 2 minutes to set traps but it does take around 2 minutes cus 90 seconds is like 1 minute and 40 seconds, thats 20 seconds away from being 2 full minutes.

well thnx silent for the dmg info on the b/p cus personaly i never ever playd the b/p ranger just the MM,orders and monk and from wat i say once the necro leevs ur preety screwd to be honest.anf its nice to see sum feels the same way about not revealing the build..... cus sum1 repllyd "i think its rude asking for a 4 man build when u dont want to reveal ur own" c'mon if the knawledge of a 4 man build that was infact better and faster(doughtfull) than a b/p group its goina be nerf central, be realistic ppl

k so i messed up on th 1 minute 40 seconds gimme a break i was tierd as hell and i was a a school comp in the library... the librarian watches us like a dam hawk........meaning i wasnt suposed to be on guru so i had to type fast so i wasnt thinking alright

They should be, I looked at it before I put the URL in and the pictures came up fine. There kinda big so it might take a lil longer on different connections.

Yeah they still work for me, just make sure the page is done loading so you know the pictures are gonna show or not.

Well after 24hrs of deciphering his message I think I can respond intelligently.. lol jk it wasnt that bad .

First off as I said in the first post please read up on "Fingers of chaos" before throwing out my idea.

Fingers of chaos is a stance, it removes enchantments each hit IF "monk" is either the primary or secondary class of what it is attacking.

Against the ele class it interupts and against the mesmer class it has no added effect. That is why I said to go ele/me or me/ele WITH an anti interupt stance.

The point of the cover enchants is simply for the rare occasion in which you get hit with a shatter enchant or some other form of enchant removeal, for cover enchants the ele/mes could bring the differnt attunments.

The monk should not be having energy problems, if he was to cast essence bond on the ele/mes thats one way to gain energy, then he casts life bond(simply so damage is redirected to the monk to trigger balts spirit) and cast balts spirit on himself. In addition to that the monk can use blessed signet and if mo/mes mantra of inscriptions.

Also in my last post I noted that if energy was a problem another monk, possibly with SoJ(shield not sig), could also cast needed enchantments

So anyway kooldude now that you see idea behind the build I hope it seems like a more feasible idea to you .

ya i see but theres still the fact that they can remove enchants..... so u gotta put alot of cover enchants... that would take up ur entire skill bar just to over 1 or 2 enchants u gotta remember the big mobs, cus from way iv herd they monster only skill they have only takes like 5 seconds to recharge or sumthin i might be thinking of duration tho...

lol and i think this thread is changin the subject from ,"post if u have a 4 man build" to wat u can do to make it posible,basicly thinking of ways to make it posible. tho im not saying its a bad thing tho

and trans i cheked the link to ur thread... still no screenies, got any ideas y i cant see them??!! 0.o

It can indeed be done with just 2 b/p rangers, 1 MM who brings spiteful spirit and 1 monk. It does take a little longer to do, but it's not that bad.

My report :

Well, yesterday started with 8 ppl, by the time we got to the Darkness's at the end,
we lost 2 rangers, and the orders necro to lag drop-off and the mm quit when someone
insulted him in HOH, we were able clear everything out with 3 B/P rangers and the monk,
but we could not take out the darknesses, tried for a 1/2 hour, they just hit to hard,
must have a mm necro and the meat shields or is not gonna work.

Anybody else notice alot lag in this area ?????

shadow did u lose the 4 of them on the last lvl near the bosses or did u lose over time thru the lvls of tombs??????? cus i dunno if it should be called an actual 4 man if u get to the end with all 8 and THEN lose 4 of them, but if u lost them over the lvls then good on you but the fact is u didnt even kill the bosses which if u havnt noticed.. is the whole point

Kooldude,

I know I was off the point, but I just wanted to add a liitle bit to the topic, since I am
really interested in Tombs atm, and I was wondering if anybody else has lag problems
in there.
We lost one ranger after the first area, then lost the 2nd ranger zoning into HoH, then
lost the orders necro after the first big fight in the beginning of HoH, and then MM quit
after clearing the first chamber in HoH. Then us 3 rangers and the monk cleared the
small second chamber and the third chamber, but could not take down any of the
darknesses, we had one almost dead, but no cigar.

very fun area, just a blast to see so many arrows flying around and the monsters
getting interrupted like crazy.....

lol i have no lag problems in tombs but its was funny as hell... one time my guild was on ts, and 2 of the guildys on ts went on a tombs run ..... 1 fell asleep in the middle of a tombs run and we wer yelling at him on ts..wouldnt wake LMAO!!! fell asleep at his comp so dam funny... pissed of the group so much

Im gonna correct you SirShadow you dont have to have a MM to kill the Darknesses. Can be done with 1 main damage dealer, meaning non-minion man too, quite easily. We did it with no rangers also. As for lag problems...always it seems I'll get bad lag at somepoint even when theres no big mobs.
