I have killed glint 5 times. W/Mo, Mo/W, R/N, E/Mo and N/Me all 5 time i made sure people in the group had cold weapons for glint and some one had spinal shivers, she goes down very easy. All groups where PuG's.

Grenths Balance and interuppts pretty much put her down.

I've always wanted to kill her myself, but when I was playing more steadilly (about 4 months ago) no group I was with seemed to figure out the proper techniques to down her.

Perhaps I'll have to give it another go now.

5 toons = 5 dead Glints.

Now to admit, I gave up on this bonus when I first got to Glint, tried it a couple of times with no luck. But that was early May of 2005 and the game was less than a month old and no one knew what they were doing.

But now killing Glint is easy.

My friends and I killed her with timely switching between physical and elemental weapons. I think I also had Grenth's Balance on this, which took a chunk out to start. I don't recall how often we interrupted her, probably some, but mainly focused on switching between damage types.

i kill her with my mesmer, it was fun really since there is only about 3 ppl left in the group, the rest has died off. i jsut keep casting conjure pahtalism on here the war keep attacking her and interupt her spell w/e she try to cast one and it took quite a while to kill her

it would be nice if we can take her egg and sell it

3 times killing her were really by accident. We went in to help a guildie through with the intent of the group just making it through, and we will try glint at the end. Not built to actually kill her. On my mesmer I did anticipate it and brought wastel's so that was awesome for taking her down.

Did it with a balanced group last time with my ranger and was actually surprised as hell that we did it, and did it well. The group was full of a couple of people who weren't really listening all the way to that point, one was constantly concerned about getting to FoW to farm shards, but didn't know much about the game. We had a couple of henchies and only one of them died once during the fight. Seems my best luck killing her has been when I wasn't setting out to do it.

I reckon its possible to solo the glint

Mesmer/Necro

Grenthes balance
Cry of Frustration
Leech Signet
Empathy
Insideous Parasite
Energy Tap
Enfeeble

Spam Enfeeble on the glint so it only does 50-80dmg to you, interrupt Crystal Hibernation with Cry of Frustration/Leech Signet so she cannot heal herself, and whenever you need healing, use grenthes balance on her and you will be healed up to full health again. use Parasite and Empathy to kill her, Energy tap for energy, should take another energy spell. Possible to solo, you can get definately hold against glint, I tried yesterday she couldn't kill me, but I couldn't kill her, in the end I got bored. Then I didn't have any interrupts with me, so she healed herslelf with Crystal Hibernation meh =)

Yep with mesmer or ranger it's very easy to solo Glint with henchies. With mesmer Wastrel's Worry is the skill that gives the heaviest dmg to Glint. My gf used mesmer and had two henchies alive after Glint was dead.

Decided to complete all of the bonuses before Factions, and Glint was still on my ranger's hitlist.

I went in with a team of henchies and following the advice here, I concentrated on interrupting her, ( Distracting and Savage). And wow, she was pretty easy to take down, a lot easier than I remember. Slightly disappointing that it was so easy, but thanks for all the tips.

Hehehe, first time i killed her she glitched so badly. Just stood there doing absolutely nothing for ages so i kept laying a barbed trap at her feet while the entire team attacked her with assorted bows we found (we didn't have interrupts for Hibernation ). Took us a good 20-30minutes though, that was my very first time seeing her too.

2nd time was my Bonder monk, we prepared everything so perfectly... then both warriors got totally owned and we ended up killing her using the Ranger to tank w/ Prot spirit. Until she threw Crystal Bonds on him or somet and he dropped dead just as we killed her

Her drops are about the same as those of a Sand Drake.

Before people start complaining: Hey, you get 1k XP for killing her, isn't that reward enough?
