Default Titant farming build

Not very useful, but fun if you bored and got nothing else to do.
Reasons:
- pretty easy mobs (mostly elementalists and we how bad eles suck)
- lots of xp
- just something new

Downside:
- poor drops (or maybe im just very unlucky)
- titans seem to be very often affected by collision bug (like on the screenie it seems they all infront of me, but infact they all around me)

Directions:
- get dnkp quest
- zone from D'Alessio Seaboard
- turn left to Luxon settlement

Build: screenshot says it all

Enjoy.

Notes:
- Avoid Rotting Titans - they use lingering curse. Also I try to avoid Wild Groths - they mostly harmless, but hard to kill because they use troll unguent.
- Move away a bit before recasting obsidian flesh to make sure you not in maelstorm

Another pro: They have a farirly high armor drop rate for Gold and Purple.

they do drop lots of armors but 99% of them are white, and those that are purple always seem to have minor runes in them...
or as i said maybe I am just very unlucky

Same. I farmed them a while back ago, with warrior. Lots of armour. Purples usually minor. Golds usually major.

Funny, whenever I farm them with my Invic-necro I get about 1-2 Gold armors with 3-5 Purple armors every run (takes about 45 minutes to a hour) and I kill mostly all in the area.

I'm at the area, but there are no titans...who do I have to see to get the quest that I need?
And while i'm asking questions, i've read of a set of quests involving titans and char in ascalon who do I have to see to get those quests?

you have to beat the game (finish all missions) first, then go to the Droknars forge and talk to the statue of Glint

All she gives me is defend the forge, do I have to do that first, or is it the same quest?

i disagree abotu the drops being poor (though the value of drops has declined due to lower rune prices) even so i have made around 2 million off titans very profitable i say, you must just be unlucky they drop plenty of high end runes including the occasional sup absorb and vigor

Well, as far as the drop rates of Titans are concerned, see here, here and here (as soon as Guildwiki is availible again). It's not like we don't have hard data on that!

In my experience roughly 50% of gold armor drops are superiour runes. Didn't get anything thrilling, like say Sup. Vigor or Absorption there, yet, but at least a couple of Monk runes. Also, some interresting Magmas Shields.

I use my Mesmer as Invincimonk secondary with Illusionary Weaponry to cut them down, by the way.

Edit: You do not have to have finished all missions to have the Titan quests availible. I don't know exactly what the requirements are, but I think having done Hell's Precipice is enough (I'm missing quite a lot missions with my Mesmer). To my knowledge, there is no way to re-activate Defend North Kryta Province, once you have claimed the reward.

I don't know about the OP's build, but i'm pretty sure mine will work better:

Stone daggers, crystal wave, shock ( to interrupt maelstrom and troll ungeunt ), ether renewal, armour of earth, kinetic armour, balthazar's spirit, aura or restoration...

better energy management, easier to kill IMO

I do this solo sometimes with a war/mes, hard with groups that have multiple wind born cause the almost constant blind. But I like to take a barrage ranger and do duo just cause its funner with someone to interact with anyways. Long as they stay out of aggro, they shouldnt ever die (neither should you) you can solo with disrupting chop and distracting blow, but its hard.
