Default Weird henchmen experience while dead

Last night I was trying to get through one of those annoying areas filled with things that do not give experience but are more abundant than flies in a cow pasture. My team of henchmen had been breaking away from the team to fight the various spawnings, and it was my hope to get to a transition point to pull them all to me and get rid of the aggro.

Between the Renegades, the Devourers, and the Elementals, I was finally pulled down. In the meantime, I noticed that I had not been given the Resurrection notice and that all of my henchmen were still standing. When I clicked on the fighter, I was taken to where he was engaging two devourers. He was not fighting, but instead was healing himself. I was able to click on him and then the devourers and he then began to fight. I did the same with the ranger, sending her to where the Monk was fighting and having her finish off the creatures there.

The Monk was a different matter. She was up on a ridge and seemed to be trying to get to me but was blocked by the pathing so she ran about four steps in on direction, then the next, stuck.

Well, I managed to actually lead the Warrior and the Ranger to where I was. If they rezzed me, all would have been fine, but then all they did was stand there, no rez in sight, no rez message either. I had to log out to get back up.

I guess what I saw was a bug, but wouldn't be great to be able to issue commands to the Henchmen in the manner?

Had something similar happen to me during Frost gate mission a long while back; where were you?

Just had this happen to me last night. I'm lying dead with two healer henchies still alive. They aren't rezzing me, even though I'm in a safe place. They're fighting an opponent. The remaining two live henchies were doing the same thing. The problem--it was one of those monk boss jobs and they weren't able to whittle down his health. If one of the healers had rezzed me, I could have rezzed the rest and we could have done it. Instead, I had to map out after lying there for ten minutes watching the four henchies and the boss in a stalemate. Really irritating, because defeating the boss would have completed the quest I was on. It would have been wonderful if I could have clicked on one of the healer henchies and issued a command to rez me. I tried targetting myself, spamming that I'm dead, etc., to no avail. Sigh.

I was in the area near King's Watch (Regent Valley, maybe?), near the bridge where the stolen supplies are found in the possession of Renegades. My character is level 12 so almost everything there yields no experience with a group of four, so stopping to fight every devourer that pops out of the grouund is so intensely pointless and wears out my patience. That is why I tried to run through the area.

I was able to direct the Ranger to the largest degree, she helped clear the monk of foes, then the warrior, but like felinette, I could not get them to rez me (though I never tried spamming it, they don't seem to listen). I wonder if the monk was there if she would have done it, and because she was still alive the other two didn't feel like it was their job. Might be in their AI to heal her and let her do the rezzing, if she is present.

Henchies maintain a safe zone for rezzing. I tried running through kryta once. After Alesia died, i simply left her behind. Later most of us got wiped.

Warriors had rez signets, and they kept running back to Alesia, but there was a single etting in between. So they stopped right before agro bubble, then ran back towards me. I did have rebirth, but wasn't primary monk, so they prioritized Alesia. This went on until I zoned out.

I noticed this on several occasions. I believe if not agroed or in combat, henchies will not run into a mobs agro bubble to rez. So if there's a mob in between or around the corpse, they'll get confused.

When switching targets you also need to issue an attack order (space usually). Otherwise warriors (and others) will often not engage another target, after their current one is dead. This happens often with casters, when you are standing far away, and warriors return to formation after killing one mob. Playing archer or warrior you usually issue the attack anyway, but casters don't need to, and spells/skills don't trigger it.
