Given that the alliance system isn't implemented yet, I'm not sure if the elite missions are available either, but each guild is now its own alliance, so perhaps if you got that far and had everyone empty their faction bank into the coffers you can be the #1 alliance, though where do you find a list? I mean it'll be pretty awful to have no comparison to gauge your efforts by, and omg a run-on sentence as my grade-school teacher would say.

The official guide promises hours of wholesome family entertainment in the elite missions and "unique drops." They probably just meant prettier skins. The end-bosses are supposed to be able to smite 100 Shiros without batting an eyelash, provided he has eyes, and lashes.

FYI in case you weren't on (as most people were not at that ungodly hour lol), they implemented the Alliance system last night/this morning. I was assuming they would reset everyone's faction status prior (some ppl joined factions during the preview weekend), but it was not. Hence, you cannot make an alliance with anyone who is not of the same faction (or of no faction), and they can't join a faction (or you change, if that is possible) until they get a character (or perhaps their guild leader) to the Luxon/Kurzick capital to join a faction. I think it may take some time for any large alliances. Only the fast ones will be able to do so, or the ones that joined factions during the preview weekend.

If they add ambassadors to other parts of Cantha (Kaineng City) then this may not be the case.

I played this morning at 6AM PST and I couldnt do an alliance invite and it still showed that "MAJOR FLAW" error code.

wow.. I bet they changed it back then. We had just finished 'ascending' our Tyrians (already did so with my Canthan) and becoming Closer to the Stars when we got the new build message. In fact we were hoping it would let us finish Naphui Quarter. I finally went to bed around 0300 and it was available. It may have been a mistake. I wasn't able to make any alliances though because the few guilds that had agreed to an alliance were either Kurzick or hadn't joined a faction yet. I'ts quite possible that instead a bug was preventing me from sending ou those invites..
