Default Arborstone Problems

Anyone else having a hard time doing this mission with henchies?

Going down the middle path after the urn, the henchies, due to the cathedral falling never rez you. I hope this gets fixed or that something prevents them from healing each other for 10 minutes.

Did the mission last night, everytime when the building fall down on you, it generate a knockdown effect. Thus you can't do anything but lay on the ground. Good thing i did the mission with my guildmates and got the master award. I guess you need to be prepare before the roof fall on you and hope that you henchies can take the damage and start healing (or ressing) fast.

This was the only mission I've ever had trouble with in Factions...all those monsters just tear my minions apart, and we barely finished with the standard award (we did have an afk nuker tho)

I do every mission with henchmen first to see what the objectives are and how far I can get. In this one, as soon as I got to the middle path out, laid my wards against knockback, elements, and melee, and told the henchmen who to attack, they ran back up the stairs out of my wards, and proceeded to die en masse.

Fun times.

I have done it 2 times with a Guild Group, but now, trying to do it with Henchmen my Assassin is proving difficult, going down the middle means no res due to falling cathedral, or going the side ways means spawns on Oni, which promptly wipe the healer hench or Danika (sp?) out.

Plus all Pugs in the Europe districts seem to be... well, the type you would expect at THK.

Exactly my problem.

I have retried the mission several times and beat it, I just think that perhaps the AI for the henchmen Rezzing should be fixed—the problem being that they have to heal themselves fully before they Rez, in the center of this mission, this proves impossible, and you get stuck in a loop of henchman jsut healnig thsemlves and not rezzing, supremely annoying. Maybe this is a Sardelac topic.

I did this one with my w/n, the first time I made it all the way to the last door, but I lost 2 of my henchies just before that, and sister tai just refure to rez them so I moved on hoping to out last the warrior stone boss..... well I didn't.

The second time I went with an MM and other dude, we survived ....I think the mission would be a lot more solo oriented if Anet let Mhenlo stay

I have done almost all of the Canthan missions with henchies. Arborstone had some extra issues because of the falling ceiling, but otherwise I didn't have much issue.

I'm a Ritualist, and I usually carry with me Erys, Redemptor, Danicka, Brutus, Sheena, Lukas and Professor Gai. Usually this huge disrupt, blast 'em, dominate the hell outa them group does a good job every time. As in as long as I move every three or four shots, either out of range of the mass of enemies (so the healer, dominate, blood hencies run towards me) or around the edge of the mob planting spirits, we do pretty good.

My ritualist uses Signet of Spirits, Pain, Bloodsong, Shadowsong, Union, Painful Bond, so there's a ton of entities for the enemies to concentrate on.

I think this is why I get along so well with the henchies in Cantha. On the other hand, despite somehow killing off three huge mobs, never once dying, etc, the henchies will still do stupid stuff like dying en masse when attacked by a single normal baddie or just stand around without rez.

If a monk henchie is dead, they won't rez until that monk is raised. They just stand there pretty as you please. Adding the Professor into the mix tends to help since he raises bodies too, but otherwise Danika is the best choice leaving Sister Tai and Jamie (gods, what a dipshit) to rot.

Once Arborstone is done, and you get the Watchers or Song & Stone missions, check back to these forums. Song & Stone is/was bugged to hell and back.

I finished the game a few times with enches only now, one thing that pisses me off is that the healer henches allways run into big mobs and "tank". And then they die under the collapse. Imao. I allwasy use only ranged henches, so I can pull back fast. But the healers are just sooo.... arg!

Well, I just got to the mission and failed miserably.

Just doesn't work when you have 4 assassins and one monk in a group. I'd try to use henchmen, but being a warrior, I would think that the urn would bring some trouble to me.

Opeth, a guildie has to get his MM through and I have to get my monk through. I should be on tomorrow night, if you get on check if I'm on, send me a PM, and we could help you out if you want.

Good luck otherwise.

This just happened to me tonight. I had henched everything except Vizunah Square. Had done Arborstone with another character, and didn't recall it being too bad so decided to try henching it. I was fine until two of the henchies died in a place where the cathedral is falling. Jamei was still alive, and tried to rez, but the problem for me was that the length of time to cast the rez was longer than the period between cathedral falls, so she kept getting interrupted. In the end, I gave up and grouped. So I'd say you can probably hench it as long as nobody dies, but that can be tough with henchies, especially when there's constant damage occuring. If I'd had a hard rez, things may have been different, but this character just has a rez sig.

I got Master's on Arborstone using a W/Mo (no monk skills for the mission though) and 7 henchies.

As long as you don't actually try to use the urn's ability, it's like a normal mission - just drop it before each engagement and pick it back up at the end.

just do with a guild group, why deal with henchies?? You're in XoO, even if you're in sigils like I was there are plenty of folks always around that can drop 15 minutes for a masters on Arborstone. Henchies blow (except vasburg, he has fast cast rebirth/aegis and is just not fair with the interrupts). But really its just which henchies you pick and how you direct them. I will always go left with henchies, once you know where the onis spawn, you can pull them, easy.

I did this with my Ranger and all henchies. I had no issues with the urn and only minor issues with the rezzing. It seems that "Cathedral Collapse" happens about every 8-10 seconds. The henchies use an 8 second res spell, basically a guaranteed interrupt.

Just go with Monk secondary for this mission and carry Rebirth or Resurrect, which only take 6 seconds to cast. You'll have to handle all the rezzing yourself.

I think April was stating that the cathedral falling needs an 'adjustment' so to speak, as it really doesnt work too well with Henchmen Monks.

Thing is, yes they could get a guild team, but some people prefer to play with hench, and currently with the 'falling ceiling' there does seem to be a high failure rate regarding ressurection chat (etc).
