There is this "ancient weapon" in the crystal desert. It looks like a large gold box with a bird on top and light shines out the top fifteen feet above the box, when i hold it. I found it but I've done all the quests, and unless I have to do the last mission first, I dont see what its for. What is it for, its really pissing me off.

It was a quest in beta that it belonged to, but the quest was deleted

So they deleted the quest but just left some random "acient weapon" sitting around in the desert? Weird. Did you try having a caster attack with it or something. I know casters can fight with the sceptor of orr in the missions where you carry it.

The sceptor of orr actually gives + energy to casters. I don't think they can actually melee with it though... At least my W/Mo couldn't.
