Angry Damn Henchie Glitch??

Tonight, my guildies and i, with the help of 3 henchies, dicided to have a crack at sorrows furnace, we completed 4 out of 5 quests and were 80% through the final one, when we got hammered, 2 of the henchies, were nowhere to be seen, once we died, we realized they had been locked behind a door.
Now, we sat there for a good 10 mins, watching them go back and forth like chickens, doing nothing, eventually, we had to give up the ghost, and go back to Deldrimor. Finding out, we had lost all of our bloody quests that we had done, now, is there some way of killing the henchies when this happens, because it was very annoying after 2 hours of playing to come away with nothing because of a glitch.
Do they die after a set time so we can respawn? (One of them, was a healer by the way).

No they don't die. I guess that's why Anet made the greying effect in the party window. If you see any party members' names getting greyed out, you might want to check if they got stuck or afk.

Which is why we should always keep an eye on our henchies. Just like we should always keep an eye out for player stragglers during missions or quests.
