Default Faction points question

I have 2 characters completed all faction missions with Kurzit faction points. Now I am doing Luxon quests to get 10,000 luxon faction points. But I still have 7750 Kurzit faction points in my account. The last time I completed the "Befriend the Kurzit" quest, it seems that all my luxon faction points (2250 of them) were all gone. Will my remaining Kurzit faction points be wiped out when I have 10,000 luxon faction points and complete the "Befriend the Luxon" quest?

Yes, unfortunately, when you spend Kurzick Faction an equal amount of Luxon Faction is lost and vice versa, until one of the two drops to zero. The only way to avoid this is to spend all of one type of faction on Jadeite or Amber before earning Faction from the other side. I earned over 7000 faction from each side in the preview event, but lost all my Luxon Faction by buying Amber after Factions was released. It would have been really helpful if Anet had announced this restriction ahead of Factions' release instead of leaving it as an unpleasant surprise.

yes, what i do , i just make sure that i only try and get faction for 1 side at a time, and always SPEND the faction before i start collecting faction for the other side.
