I did this mission with my assassin in the foreign quarter, and I did it with my monk. I tried the mission many times with my monk, failed almost every time, then, one time we had another team, we beat it that time. It seems to be completely random.

If anyone is STILL having problems with this on sunday, I'll help. There are plenty of good teams on both sides now. I've gotten master (best time 22:33) 2 times now on 2 different characters mo/rt on local and r/mo on foreign. I recommend barrage AND traps for rangers funfun! My assassin only got expert tho and I like running smite prot on my monk!!!

To ANet's credit, I love the concept of this mission. I just wish they hadn't made it the first one you hit on arrival!

This mission is going to become a nightmare come ch3 -- everyone will be making their new characters in C3 land, and the local side of Vizunah square will be empty.

with a proper guild and or alliance that 'should' never happen tho.
since you only really need a few people to do both sides of this mission...

My small guild was having trouble with this mission until we had a thought...what if it is like Thunderhead keep?

We've found it easier to go through with a full party of hentchies on both sides....they follow called targets..and always heal menhlo and togo...

we so far have achieved expert rating on this mission using this methode....working on master....

I did it on my second try, the key is to use powerful attacks that are useful for packed together enemies (barrage, hundred blades, meteor storm, and spiteful spirit). But of course we had two good teams of solid real players and the last part was a breeze.

This mission is easy, I did it with my ranger with hench and the other team had one human and the rest were hench. I think this is bcause hench usually folow your calls.

Im working on this mission at the moment, (local) I went in with henchies, We made it to the third place where the mobs just keep coming and coming, everyone was staying pretty well healed, Talon went down once, but we rezed him pretty quickly, then I got hit by an elementalist for 770+ damage. I was wearing my armor. That disgusted me a little. How am i supposed to stand up to that with 60 AL, I guess ill have to take some prot spells along next time.

it's easier with a full team of hentchies on both sides...they never forget to heal the NPC's and they always follow called targets.

I just beat this mission with my friend being a Warrior/Mo and me being Mo/A (only level 19) rest were henchmen. No other team spawned with Togo except for those npc's (not even henchmen). I was the only 1 to die (2 times) but we got it in about 30 minutes. I think I was too busy watching others health and not my own. I will have to say having a real monk helps alot and staying in the center also helps.

One other note I was using protection and healing, removing hex's and conditions as well. I used to think this mission was highly impossible but with a true monk that actually plays well it works out perfect even with no other team.

Edit: Also did anyone know that even if you are Canthan you can still go to the foreign quarter as well as long as you are with a tyrian player, it doesn't seem to allow people from tyria to go to the local quarter though. Not sure if this is a bug or a feature.

And my armor def was only 45.

here is the trick... get 2 minion master.... yes TWO!.... and if they can do it right and if the other team isn't one guy and full henches then you can almost garuntee a victory...

Heh...I was bored while in Cantha for a while and ended up at V square. I decided to do the mis with henchies since W/Mo's aren't the most wanted..

I didn't even know about the other group until I saw a drop that wasn't for me.
"Wtf? Who hell is her--"

And then I remembered. It took us 35 minutes, but it was still easy.

We used a high level Edge of Extinction spirit coupled with healing/protecting ritualist spirits like recuperation, shelter, life and union. This way, both our team and our partner team could live through the effects of EoE, while the afflicted got just plain destroyed by it.

Well, I full henched it with my ritualist (lvl 20, but i forgot to do the 2nd 15 attribute quest), so it's not *too* bad.

A defensive Earth Elementalist can give any group a decent chance of beating this mission.

Are you on the local side?

Unless they've somehow updated the AI, a full hench team on the local side has always caused Togo to die even before we (the foreign side) could run there (skipping the guys at the beginning)

It's pretty easy to Keep Togo alive with even 1 person on the Local side, but it seems that with all henchies, they just get slaughtered every time.

Beat it with ranger (EoE) and also with my MM with a full hench team.
Both from local side and I believe both ended as Expert.

Will try it over the weeked -also solo- with my Tyrian Wa/X but most mobs are low-levels and the most fatal tactic would be to split from togo-mhenlo and start running around to loot (especially the white drops)

PS: You are right Avarre --v

Going with hench isn't solo, btw^

Togo has never died for me with a full hench team (on the local side, me on foreign)... they usually clear the whole area before I get there, whereas humans often cause him to die.

Beat this last night on first go. I was a MM, and team had a human assassin and the rest henchies. The other team was full hench. I spent my time creating minions, assassin did what assassins do, and henchies did their own thing - neither assassin or I bothered to call targets. I was pretty amazed that Togo and Mhenlo spent most of their time out of harms way and barely took any damage. Only hairy moment was the last part when Mhenlo decided to stay at the top of the stairs and tried to tank a big mob of afflicted. Apart from that moment, it was an easy mission.
