Default Good build for the Deep?

I've failed miserably int he deep 2 times, so i've decioded to dedicate myself to a build that will work well in that area.

But i don't knwo what to make.
I knwo that:
I can't monk, I've tried and it just doesent work for me.
I don't want to go SS because necromancers bore me.
I dont want to go fire nuker because the skills bore me to death.
I don't want to go warrior and i've heard assassin is a nightmare.

So, im basically good at casting.
I'd liek to try a nuker/spiker of some sort, btu i dont want to go fire.
I also liek rangers.

So, any ideas?

But you just said that Necromancers and Elementalists, the two main damaging caster classes in The Deep, bore you.

You don't have a choice. Assimilate or die.

You can go as a trapper ranger, it works pretty good.

If fire nuker bores him, I'm guessing trapper will bore him even more. A good group doesn't use trappers anymore anyway. Other ranger build are useless in many rooms due to the oni.

Conform or be prepared to fail many...many times.

The builds that work well in the deep have been developed over the past 2 months. You sound like you already know what they are. Spikers are rather useless, you are fighting mobs, not trying to pick off single targets. No need to dedicate, just accept the builds.

so your sayign, that those builds i mentioned that i DIDNT want to be, are the only ones that are viable in the deep?

well, if i had to choose one, it would be ss, but i don't really know how to use it.

You could go as an earth elementalist. You can use dragon stomp and earthquake or echo dragon stomp if you are factions only. Earth ele may not have some awesome nukes but they do have awesome knockdowns.

Ill try and help you, but I have to be honest. The common build here is very good and if you dont like to play a certain class: tough dog poopy. What you have just said you DONT like to do hilights a LOT of the common GW builds. Your going to have to start opening your mind mate and quit whining.

Looking at the most common build we can draw possiblities:
3 Warriors (Hammer or Shock: W/Mo or W/E respectively)
2 Fire Nukers (Long range high damage spells. Meteor Swarm highly recommended + Glyph of Renewal if E/Mo or Archane Echo if E/Me).
4 Monks (with Heal Party/Aeigis spam)
1 SS (Anti-Kanaxi character with Rigor Mortis and enchantment stripping).
1 BIP (I doubt you will like this build either. Blood is Power spam along with some healing spells).

The last slot varies between the following which I see as your only options:
Trapper (highly recommend Spike Trap as elite)
Ritualist (Extra support. Ritual Lord and many communing spirits including Disenchantment for vs. Kannaxi)

Conclusion: Said before said again, you have crossed out a lot of good GW builds. You should try and be more flexible. If you continue bitching about the many builds listed here, then there is a fat chance you will get into a group in the Deep.

NUKER is translated to fire elementalist.

No, I'm saying those are the tried and true builds and if you want to be in a good group that will succeed, they are the ones to use. Other builds are viable, but an experienced group is not going to take (for example) an air ele as spiking one target really doesn't help the group.

SS is very easy to play. Put 16 (12+4) points in curses, 11 (10+1) in soul reaping and depending on your group, the rest in blood (for wob and br) or inspiration (for enchantment removal). Once the warrior agros, cast echo then ss on the first melee, then tab to next target and cast your echoed ss on the next target. Rinse and repeat. Cast WoB for corpse control, BR if monks need a boost, shivers for Kanaxai and inspired enchantment as need.

not to start the flame war again... but OP first says necro bores him, then he says he doesn't know how to play SS build... I mean SS build bores me to, but I can say that because i played hundreds of hours with it.
Its like wtf dude!?!? What DO you know about necro if it bores you so much? Try things first, then complain about them...

On a side note: why did people suddenly started calling Meteor Shower Meteor Swarm? It still says "shower" in my skill list. And I have all the ele skills from both campaigns... Am I missing something here?

Love this quote, are you a Borg?

Anyway, I play fairly often in the deep as a SS necro, and for my part, I find myself being far from bored (I usually play in PUG teams). You are usually busy laying the hexes or removing enchantments, providing support to the Bip necro in the form of Br, or generally fretting that people despite numerous requests to not do so, insist upon using their melee weapons and wands to attack an otherwise beautifully blocked mob of oni who were set perfectly for an SS or two and meteor showers aplenty.

So, boring? me thinks not.....
