How do you do this mini-mission? Most groups i get don't get past 120.

Any group builds suggested? I tried 3 monks, 2 nukers, 2 warriors and 1 MM.

My guess is that really high scores can only be obtained with all human players, and you need to split up so you can attack many groups at once. That's just going to kill enemies faster than any group who sticks entirely together.

As for what the best builds are, I'm guessing it's groups of either singles or pairs, so you probably want either eight guys who are all the same (whoever is best at soloing these enemies) or four guys identical and four gals identical, going out in pairs. I don't know if anyone has actually found great solo strategies, so it might even be that two groups of four characters each is going to get high scores for a while.

I don't know what the best solution is, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's something like all Minion Masters or 55 Monks (or 55 Ne/Mo SS), though 55 Monks might kill enemies too slowerly. Trapper groups might do well also.

Those are some of the most popular PvE solo types in general, really. These specific monsters might be killed more efficiently by something else entirely.

I did it with a ranger-barrage group, but the minionmaster didn't really work I think, it takes too long to raise minions, then he has to catch up while the rangers have already killed the group and can start over with making minions. I'd say swap the MM for a Putrid-explosion/Charge necro, and I would think you score pretty well down there.
If only my guild would want to do these missions

soz for dumb question, but what reward do you get at Dragons Throat?

ie, on the luxon/kurzick competitive missions, you get cash and factionpoints, and on Dragons Throat, what, you get only cash?

The award is to stand in the 'records', meaning you and your team will be 'famous' (Not that I think there are too many people that look at it, but still).

My guildies and I have done this mission a couple of times and with just a few run became better and better until we suddenly jumped to the top of the all time board. For us, it was all about pathing. Certain bosses respawn and certain intervals, and learning the timing can give you those much needed minutes to make it to the next group. Our typical group includes:

1. Warrior
2. Monk
3. Monk
4. Monk
5. Necro
6. Necro
7. Elementalist
8. Elementalist or Ranger

Good luck.

Edge of Extinction is great in some areas, but not when you're running minions. One dies and the rest go with him.

yeah but just as someone above said, minion masters drag the team down and are not necessary at all.

I totally disagree. In fact, we usually run with 2 minion masters on our runs. There are plenty of bodies to go around. Look, I'm not saying that we have the best build, or anything of the kind, but considering that nobody has come within 79 of our record, I feel we're doing something right.

I said that with barrage group I didn't think the MM worked to well ^^ . It might do work with any other build, I don't know. I just thought that it took too long for a fast-paced build as barrage in there for a MM to raise the minions.

I got lucky and got into a guild group...another guild and we plowed through pretty quick. We were within 1 kill of getting number 10 on the list but could not find anything to kill for the last 50 seconds!
1 MM
1 SS
2 Monks
2 Tanks
1 Nuker
1 Geomancer - Me.

2 monk
1 stance tank
1 ele nuker
2 MM
1 SS
1 Barrage ranger

basically ranger spam Eoe and FW, MM do minions of course and span death nova on them and use putrid explosion whenever needed, the rest as usual.

we only tried 3 times but we got to 1st place daily on 3rd run
