12 chests at Eternal netted 2 golds. a high req Recurve bow with no dmg mod, and a Sup Abs. Rune (which is a slap in the face since the bust at the trader).

Witmans Folly's chest really really REALLY suck 25% change to get a gold item if you're lucky..most of the time you get 1 gold from 6-8 chests. Gold req 13 water icon..

I got 6 rares in a row, so raisu is worth it IMO.
See the logic flaw?
Plus you get things like Diamond Aegis's, Pheonix blades...
Just to note as well, Drazach has five chests, not three as was mentioned... and usually 1-2 are gold. Melandru's Hope isn't that bad either, since you can check chests while FF'ing.

Grove drops arent that bad, infact, i found them excellent.
In about 10min i got a pefect 15^50 furious platinum blade of shelter(v physical) req 10 and a req 8 15^50 dadao sword.
not bad for 1-2 min a run with no mobs :P
And i was gettin about 50% golds from there, though most were crap.
so its sorta worth it.
As for whitmans folly, used 60keys there over 2 days, got 2 maj vigours, which more than made up for the value of the keys.
Maybe i jus have the luck

That is pretty decent luck, but then again I've opened something like 750 grove chests and while the first few hundred were pretty good, the vast majority of my drops are purple plague it seems these days I have made a good profit off grove though, so it's not a bad place to start.
Overall I just find Drazach more efficient, however. Gothic drops ftw.

I was running from the day titles came up, and now Expert Treasure Hunter (1850 opened).
Firstly, I've opened in Taska's Demise with Titan Quest with my friend.
3 or 4 chests appear to open them, then go Mineral and go back Taska.
(Many chinese farmers in Granite Inter dist#1, follow them and learn easier route. There're some patterns.)
I got many rare Titan's armors but now runes' prices have gone down.
Now I usually running in Mourning Veil Falls outside of Durheim.
I kill Chkkr's Ironclaw with 2 Warrior henchs to get Ironclaw(green weapon) in order to buy keys, wardens will help you to kill mantises.
Then run around maybe there're 0-4 chests.
(Pay attention to Mantis Dreamweaver's Crippling Anguish. I call it to henchs to make suffered xD)
If your luxon's factions is more than kurzick's, suicide then will respawn near Ironclaw.
I got 4 Gothic Dual Axe are worth 100k+ there for 2 weeks.

It got a silent nerf with the most recent update. All great things must come to an end (but not after I got my lvl 4 title from it). *whistles and walks away*

havent done a lot of chest runnin' in Cantha, but in tyria, Hell's Precipice is nice to run through, very hard tho. I also like Dreadnoughts Drift, if your looking for stone summit items you gotta be there. Quite some chest spawn in a mob which is sure to kill ya tho. Dont forget to open chests in Snakes Dance on the way^^ Witmans folly is easy chests, but BAD drops.

Its kind of ironic that discussing the best chest locations will maybe just lead to them being the worst. I dont know if its just conjecture but doesn't more people farming the same chests lead to a lower quality of drops for everyone, hence the substandard quality of whitmans chests as a case in point.
Therefore I find it to be truer that anywhere you feel is infrequently visited is where the best chests are unless you are farming for a specific skin, ie sephises in hells precipice. Also take into account that skins from certain areas, even if you find a max 15^50 req8, are unwanted and breaking even on the cost of keys is just possible.

Thanks for the input guys. I haven't been around lately to try these spots due to the holiday weekend. I'll get back into GW and post back my results soon.
