lol it's funny to watch people flailing about with urgoz builds.

I farmed that early on in the first two weeks as well. Our core group had the run down in 2.5 hours flat.

Four trappers? What the hell =P lol.

Do full trap teams really work (4+ rangers as mentioned earlier)? I have never tried one, but I am always curious of how people are playing Urgoz nowadays. Note that by asking if the build works, I mean does it consistantly beat the mission, with minimal deaths, and in a reasonable times (aka not something silly like an MM which works fine early on, but clearly would get you killed at Urgoz).

Yes it works, assuming that they don't forget to bring EoE after 40 min spirit checking in 5 languages (happened to me)

I can say from my experiences, with a well formed team we were able to beat it with what i said, 2monks, 4trappers, 4ele's either a BiP necro or SS and 1 rit lord. Trap and pull trap and Pull EoE lvl 11, Brambles spirit, if you can't get all the dredge and twisted bark in the first room cleared in under 5 minutes, you're team is going to take over 3 hours.

well trapper build is the most easy way, but takes way to long. and because it takes to long you get a big risk people quit. so it is better to go with a other build for quick killing so people wont leave and it saves time big time.

i would go for 4 monks
2 fire nuker
1 air nuker with all the armor penetration skills. good for the end boss and all the healer/prot enemies
1 SS with spinal shivers
1 bip necro (when possible but some points in death magic. nice when you use Well of the Profane
2 warriors (would be nice if 1 or both bring a interupt skill)
1 rangers with Edge of Extinction on 16 and dust trap, throw dirt and interupts.

i tried this with 1 group b4 when i was with my monk and it worked nice. but i had a error but we only had 3 more rooms to go

wow. I love how some of you here just flame people and make fun of them without giving one ounce of constructive criticism. (this goes for most of the posts on the first page)

Instead of just saying "LOL that build sucks and won't ever work" why don't you, for once, say something like "Instead of such and such, why don't you try this instead to be more effective".

Sometimes the people on this forum need a swift kick in the a$$ and use some common courtesy towards others.

Trapper teams work the best when you face 20-30 foes at a time.
Lay dow a matt of trapps, get lvl11 eoe up and pull as large a mob as you can, (and make sure casters stay at least 2/3 aggro bubble behind trapps) as trapps start going off trappers keep trapping under cover from Dust trap while nukers trow meteor shower and Necro trow Mark of Pain and BOOOOOM.
Warriors are more off a hinderance in this mission(can only engage small number at a time and will not be able to hold aggro long enough, to many ranged foes), 90% of the mob's follow a ceartain wall and you quickly learn witch. 2-3 trappers laying traps will make a great wall under cover from dust.

3 monks
1 Rit
1 Bip + wells
1 SS ( ss+reckless haste+mark of pain)
2 Ele
4 Trappers( 1 LvL 11 Eoe , QS and 1 trapper bring running skill for pulling (NO QZ) and 1 ranger brings Chocking gas for mob interupt)

If no one quits this group will do it in less than 2 1/2 hours easy.
The only room that really takes time is the warden room, but a warrior would not realy help there either( being attacked by mind warden earth warden and spirit warden at the same time= pawnd for anyone)

And in Urgoz's rommdo NOT attack Urgoz's or the serpents just put up EoE at a safe distance(reach is doubble agroo bubble) and start running to spawn growths and have nukers kill them as they spawn, if you attack Urgos he starts attacking back LOL

As for smiting I have found that the Deep is the place for that, 1 monk with SOJ + Prot spirit and 1 Stance tank go in and engage Kanaxi trow soj on tank and he will knock him self down attacking the tank (forgett KD skills)

A war, ele, monk and necro. Sounds like you just want the kind of team setup everywhere else

If that were the case we would just here complaints about other profs not getting in and those not wanting to change theres to accomodate.

I think I see lots of uninformed posts in here, people that haven't spent much time in Urgoz and/or really dont understand the simple things.

Bring a Rit lord, helps immensely. A Mes works awesome against the wardens, makes clearing their room way easier. 2 trappers is lots, bring 4 nukers (real ms nukers, not pbaoe crap) with resolve. Bring 3 monks and a bip. That's it.

Our alliance has done it in less than 2 hours.
