Question Insane Energy - How High Can It Go?

I am wondering what's the highest energy level anyone has gotten to? I am an Elementalist and have 87 energy currently (with one of my weapon combos) and I'm wanting to know how high I could potentially get it and how...?

My best attempt yet is (without compromising things such as attack damage & health too much):

+10 Energy storage + 1 Rune of Minor Energy Storage (+11 altogether)
-35 Health due to Rune of Major Air Magic
+25 Health - Shinobi Blade of Fortitude
+15 Energy & +12 Energy - Storm Artifact
+40 Health due to Rune of Major Vigor
>>All in all gives me 87 Energy & 541 Health

How high has other elementalists got theirs?

Allow me to scare you very very much:

Basic Energy of 30
16 energy stoage (48)
15 energy from a wand
12+15 from a focus

So the highest energy attainable by an elementalist is 120

The highest realistc energy total for a warrior is 45 by comparison, although it is possible, (but impractical,) to have 70 energy on a warrior

Other casting professions can achieve a maximum energy of 80. Highest I have seen is 69 on my mesmer.

Assassins and Rangers, on the other hand can achieve 75

Dear god that's a lot of energy!! The health would be a bit low for me I think. I like to run into a mob of warriors and the like (mainly for fun) and I wouldn't last long with that little! I will have to re-double my efforts in finding better energy upgrades I think.

Can you get that much energy in PvE or is it only PvP, since you only have elementalist attributes to spread your attribute points in? I have necromancer skills as well - I'm fond of Death Magic so I keep attribute points in there.

Hmmm, I was looking at getting a wand. Where can I buy them? The vendors in the cities only seem to sell staffs, or is there something I have missed?

I'm neither a warrior nor a monk so that comment makes no sense to me! I enjoy playing with Ride the Lightening, is all it is, and yes...i am aware there are far better elite skills than Ride the Lightening, it's just one of the more fun ones. My aim was to be able to store so much energy that I could nuke a group of warriors, at close quarters, without having to resort to stepping back and allowing it to recharge - using spells like Tenai's Wind & Lightening Touch.

How high has other elementalists got theirs?
citing wiki (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Talk:Energy_Storage)
* 20 (base)
* +51 (17 Energy Storage, 12+headgear+rune+Lyssa's favor)
* +7 (10% morale, affects base energy only)
* +10 (armour)
* +15 (wand with +15/-1)
* +27 (focus with +15/-1)
* +10 (Lyssa's 50gp blessing)
totalling 140 energy.

In more realistic terms, 90 is pretty good I guess.

Be careful with the double +15/-1 setup, it will drive you above 110 energy, but your regen will be crap (warrior level) : 2 pips regen 110 energy in 165 seconds ... At least, have an alternate set without regen penalty to carry while running to the next mob.

As a note, I find +30/-2 setup to be viable mostly for my necromancer : switch to high energy setup (71-72), spend much (Golem+vampiric+bone -> 65 energy, bone+vampiric+bone -> 75), and wait for soul reaping to refill; having spent much prevents waste of reaping too. When moving, switch to low energy (still 55), and let 4 pips do the regen.

Most I've ever gotten my Ranger up to was 65, and I do that when I'm trapping. (wand and focus)

Also, you can get an Elemental up to 130 in PvE, IF you have favor AND you kneel at the right statue, though only for 20 mins.

Um, I fail to see why the OP wants so much energy while at the samer time sacrificing points in the attribute they are using.
If you pump your energy and your spells are less effective, you just end up casting more of them for the same effect.

BTW, pips> energy except on a MM. Pips = regen whereas enegry is just gone once you use it.

They call it: Joking around to find interesting data

and wouldn't morale boosts boost the max energy even higher?

Ok, so we're gonna be clever and add everything, eh? Well in that case, it's 146 energy for an elementalist, (133+10%,) 91 on a warrior, ((70+10+3)+10%,) 102 for casters, ((80+10+3)+10%,) and Rangers and Assassins can have 96, ((75+10+3)+10%)

Geez, a warrior with 91 energy... if I was still young and foolish I would think I could nuke with that.

To the OP - If you're having issues running out of energy, you might consider losing the death magic, and putting air attunement on your skillbar. This lets you max out your energy storage at 13, and every skill on your skillbar (all air) will cost less.

And did you say you're using a sword? Stop that. If you can afford it, get a crafter set of wand and offhand from Bukdek Byway. Unless you are an earth elementalist with a focused build, you really want to stay out of melee.

Cheers - I had had a problem with finding someone who sold a half decent wand - I would buy one now, but I just blew most of my money on a guild hall! I hate spending that much money all at once!

Edit: I'm now using a Wayward Wand for the time being, since it has +5 energy on it, instead of the shinobi blade. Shiro was kind enough to die so I got it for free, it'll do for now...

Actually, Moral/DP only increases/decreases the base. Anything on top of that is static.
