Angry Mayhem in the Market...*HELP*

Ok Ive been on Mayhem in the Market with my assassin for quite some time now, i actually stoped playing my assassin cuz i couldn't beat it. there r many reasons y i cant beat it:
Its waaayyy to long
Its waaayyy to HARD
It cant ever get a decent group 2gether that can do it

If anyone has any tips or is willing to help me with it, Id b greatly appreciative

Shouldn't this thread be in the Canthan Explorer League instead of the Tyrian Explorer League?

I did it with my assassin with henchmen... I think this was the quest that finally pushed me over the edge and made me delete my assassin.
I understand your frustration.

That quest made me quit Guild Wars altogether for a few days. Just when you think you're done, there's more.

My friend and I did it with henchmen.. we were both lvl 14 eles, using daggers [don't ask]. We tanked that shit like hell, worked our group down to 60 dp and just cut through it over and over. Getting 1 hit by an afflicted explosion is fun..

Didn't take that long, maybe 30 minutes.

If memory serves, it's one of those quest where a minion master really shines. You can try to have one in your party. Or take it real slow and pull a lot.

Just take your friendly henchie buddies out for a spin. Practice jumping in and out of combat as a defensive mechanism. If you can't learn it for a simple quest, I sure as heck don't want you in my group for a mission. Take some time to learn how to play defensively, moving in and out of combat, healing and regening energy. My sin was able to hench that quest with only one party wipe when I blundered into a boss mob.

I did this with my Sin and Hench but for the last part (getting to guardsman pei I think it was - the guy that lets you into the square) I found it tough until I found the undercity entrance in Bukdek. That entrance bypasses almost all of the afflicted mobs. Have to fight some Jade in Bukdek to get to the portal.

*am fah.

Mayhem is actually the easiest quest in the game if you have done all parts except the last one.
There are tons of people in marketplace trying to get a party to beat the last part of the quest. What they don't know is that there is another way to get there, trough Bukdek Byway, like Pkest just said. You need to fight few mobs of crappy am fah (or get a warrior run it) and then like 2 mobs of afflicted, which you can run trough, actually.

Id just like to expand upon what Dreikki said to explain the EASY way to do this. There is a path that goes around a long way, but there are far fewer mobs to fight that way.

Once you get into the second zone of the quest (Underground or something) there are two paths. Left and Right. The quest pointer points in a direction that would make you go left. GO RIGHT. Run along there for a long way, you will come across a few am fah which are easy (1 assasin boss usually). Note: Do not go up the burning alleyway... very bad. Continue on after the Ahm Fah and you soon come up to the nasty ice turtles. Closer to you there is a small group, and further to the east there is a LARGE group. AVOID the large group and kill the smaller one, then head straight north through an alleyway. Further up you will see a ramp where turtles and afflicted are fighting. Let them die, then kill what remains.

Fight one more group of afflicted nearby you and go across the bridge to talk to Master Togo (presuming you havnt done that part of the quest).

Beyond there you pretty much head straight NW. Some groups of afflicted look quite large here, but you need to wait till they spread out. Once they do that lure one group at a time.

This route is ridiculously easy and can be done with henchies.

If you need additional help please contact me in the evening and I will run you through the route.

do a quest in kaineng centre (ally with am fah or something like that), this will make all am fah in wajjun bazaar non-hostile to u

in undercity, there is an easier path, this will take u straight to the higher level of the area that you don't have to fight the kappas in the ground level and evade a few groups of afflicted (keep to the north in undercity, u will find the path eventually) - can be done with hench (i will say it's easier)

Hmm in that time I had A/E using Teinai;s wind which was damn useless...this quest is damn long and I did it with henchies only sure it took daaaaaaamn long I thought I'm gonna destroy the whole room but I was pumped up to get over it...and..I did it..after an hour and half or so...

I'd say that Arborstone was bigger problem then this one...no group wants A/ so you've had to do it with henchies..after 4 tries I didn't want to see the game again..but then..I just got pissed off and made on Expert level...that was when I found out that A/Me roxx

I suggest that you be patient..that is all the advice I can give you..

P.S. funny I speak for the topic in the end just in one line XDDD

er.. I had to go onto guild wiki to find out what quest you were talking about.

Found out, i did it, and its very simple. With henchys. I was on my sin at level 14. I thought of it has a simple routine quest, and thinking "a unwanted guest" is harder.

Only 1 party wipe, when some am fah agro'd the turtles (with boss) i ran past with henchys, engaged the afflicted there and nearly killed them all (part from 2) when the turtles trapped us there and killed us and the afflicted and the afflicted blowing the turtles up :S The rest of it was just a case of agro manegment or "dark escape, dark escape, DARK ESCAPE!!! IM RUNNING FROM THIS MOB!!"
