Default How does ferrying work?

Here is the results I got for typing ferrying in the search, nothing there, nothing in the faction faq

So I was wondering, how does ferrying work?
I know about the placeholder staying in the elite mission to keep access for the guild if they loose ownership of cavalon/hzh, but once I think I saw a guy ferrying, requiring that you already had access to the mission.. or something. So is there traveling involved, or just having a member of the holding guild zone the group?[and any other random crap that is linked to getting there]

thanks zinger

Person in guild in Alliance who owns city forms a group.

That person talks to Eurayle/Vash. All people in that person's party enter the Elite Mission.

No strings attatched.

(sigh, I miss ferrying)

Also, I guess once you get in the elite mission if you go to your guildhall, then leave it you'll be able to bring your guild members into the elite mission also.

For characters are not in an alliance who owns a town:

One character in the alliance finds a taxi to the elite mission and brings a character in there.
This character stays in there so ferrying can occor. The character is sometimes refered to as an 'anchor'.
When anyone in that characters alliance wants to be ferried, the anchor clicks the 'Go to Guild Hall' button on their guild menu. The alliance member can then meet up at the corresponding anchor's guild hall.
The anchor invites his alliance member to a group.
When invite is accepted, the anchor opens the guild window and clicks 'Leave Guild Hall'.

This ONLY works providing that the character being ferried has been to the elite mission before. To get there in the first place, they must be taxied or have spoken to Euralune/Vash and entered.
