Default Raisu Palace

Raisu Palace is the only mission I need to complete in order to gain the Protector of Cantha title. Unfortunately, I can't' seem to complete it in time.
(2 mins off, 1 minute off.)

Anyway, I'm open to hearing any tips that speed up the process.

Things I already do:
1. I take Danika and Talon.
2. I run to the Danika part of the mission.
3. Skip cutscenes.

As of an update a couple of weeks ago, cutscenes no longer consume game time.

...Of course, the more superstitious types may choose to skip them anyway, just in case.

The way I mastered it was with the following NPC team

- Lukas
- Devona
- Sister Tai
- Protector Karl
- Brutus
- Sheena
- Professor Gai (not sure about him anymore but a ritualist in any case)

I used Danika and Talon as you do.

What I did was keep moving ahead whenever it was possible, this resulted in me leaving quite a few opponents alive in the first courtyard because the stairs were free to reach the second and Talon's cinematic (time spared 2 to 3 kills).

In the second courtyard I performed the same manoeuver using ctrl space to force my NPCs on the offense in the third courtyard, the monsters left in the second courtyard didn't stray too far from the door (time spared 2 kills).

Passed the 3rd courtyard and 4th courtyard (ranger and elementalist boss) I did not fight the group of rangers on the opposite side of the 4th coutyard and ran through the 5th courtyard to the 6th for the cinematic of Danika closing the door (time spared one fight with 8 opponents and a full courtyard of creatures).

In the 6th courtyard I immediatly pushed up the Stairs to fight the necromancers on their turf and once they were defeated pushed through the acid corridor to fight the ritualist boss without taking care of the other monsters in that corridor (time spared about 19 kills).

In the 7th and last courtyard I spammed the special skills I had, my NPCs did the same the bosses fell in record time.

Result master level with the emperor way above 50% of his life.

I hope it gives you a slight help on where time can be spared.

I highly recommend bringing a Minion Master along for this mission. Maybe two as there are enough corpses to support it. I found this a great help to completing this mission.
Dont be shy on taking Warriors, as their dragon special ability is extreemly useful here.
Apart from that you really only need a good balanced build and good players... as always

Could anyone please help me with the strategy of running to the end of the corridor and fighting the ritualist boss?

It has succeeded once only for me, every other time when I rush through, the monks and mesmers are aggroed, and the monks end up healing the ritualists while the mesmers wipe my party out.

Anyone know how to make this strategy more effective? I know killing them slowly of course works and is the safest, but it is also very time costly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Aren't you supposed to take Cynn and Danika for maximum time saving?

Cynn and Talon skip the largest part of this place. I'd go for Cynn as well but Talon is ok too.

Running to the ritualist boss: there is not much to say... I ran it several times with mages along with only one or 2 other player of my team, a few times leading the way and I still survived. The thing is to make sure you can kill this boss in less than 5 secs to make sure you will survive the other mobs. That's it.

On a side note, for those trying to get masters, I noticed one class does an amazing kob in this mission: echo nukers. The echo part is what matters in the mission: the trick is to echo the celestial skill and get 3 of them in his skillbar. But being a skill, arcane echo won't work on it. So you have to use arcane echo to copy echo, then use the skill, then use the copy of echo, and then the 2 copies of celestial storm. I really suggest you to use that on the boss groups. Wait for the warrior to aggro it properly, use your 3 celestial storms, and the group will die in a few secs. Then you have your 3 storms recharged: use the 2 copies on the next group quickly - they'll die as well. That's how I made it in 14 mins with PUG.

Oh and just imaging what this trick can do to the last 3 bosses: you can use 9 celestial storms on them this way

Darakus: I'm really impressed: henching it is a great job! Congrats!

Arcane echo an echo? Isn't Echo a sigil and not a spell? That said if it works I'm already drooling on that part.

Concerning the running of that last corridor I take the right hand side to do so.

Concerning Cynn and Danika, Cynn collapses a bridge just a few meters before the door Danika is closing so taking both is really not saving time but rather making sure losing one will still see you through courtyard 5 without a hitch.

For those who like to know what the NPCs do, Togo gives a description each time but here are the basics :

The male ele collapses the panel in the first courtyard so you don't need to fight the groups on both side to pass the river.

Talon closes mobs arrival doors in the second courtyard making that crossing far more easy to do

Cynn collapses a bridge in the 5th courtyard again stopping npcs from following

Danika closes a door between the 5th and 6th courtyard I find her to be sligthly more efficient than Cynn but then again it is a matter of opinions

Panaku (the assassin) disables the traps in the corridor to the 7th courtyard

And I don't know what the last NPC does

Remember, Danika's really useful to take because she heals your party up to her cutscene and will actually follow you to the rit boss sometimes and continue healing you there.

Talon/Cynn and Danika are the ones to take. Normally I finish the mission with a pug in 23-25 minutes, but my master's group got it done in 16, running to the danika scene, the rit boss, and basically smashing the last three bosses in record time.

I did it with henchmen on my assassin taking Talon and Cynn. Admittedly I got only expert level. What I did was skip the elementalist groups on the stairs after the first boss. Simply ran to the Talon Cutscene. I also took the left route to the elementalist boss, and I ran past the mesmers in the acid corrdior and used my assassin celestial skill on the ritualist boss which dropped it in no time.

I've found that when running to the Talon cutscene, right after killing the first boss, the cutscene does NOT transfer Danika to the new location, and she dies. This means I have to fight all the way thru all those enemies right after the first boss to the top of the stairs.

Do you guys see the same behavior or am I doing something wrong?

I usually fight all the way to the ranger boss, run to the ele boss, then run to the Danika cutscene. Got masters on my Assassin and Warrior that way, but I'm having trouble on my monk because he can't do enough dmg to support the hench.

maybe change second profession/build just for this mission to a DD and then revert back? although I think monks should find good groups easy.

Indeed Danika doesn't transfer though it shouldn't be a problem if you cleaned a full ramp and got rid of all elementalists.
