Thumbs up Get in - Protector of Cantha

I just want to get through this mission now and get it out of my way. I think a mission like this would probably be a blast with a larger guild. 1-2 guildies, a bunch of hench and an angry mob of players on the other team doesn't sound like a good time to me. Oh well....
If you need extra help on Vizunah Square I'd gladly help you - I've grown to love that mission, if you need help, add me as a friend, my IGN is Hitomi Kyoko (although I might be playing as another character) - if I'm free I'll gladly come help you. I could probably persuade my brother to come along as well, he has a monk amongst other characters, we're in a guild also, only it has all of ...two...people in it! Just me and him.

Oh yes - Protector title for me!

In case you don't believe me, have a screenshot of me with my two bestest of best friends!

I want to thank the team in particular - they weren't just a team, they didn't just steamroller their way through every living thing on the map, it was like a nuclear fallout right there in Guild Wars!! Special thanks go to Sir Mad - you sir, are a legend! I'd have liked to have stayed to help out with a few others, but, unfortunately I have to go to work, albeit paid, but still - Grrr! Stupid real life.

Maybe - can someone tell me - what does the '(1)' mean after 'Protector of Cantha'?

Cheers again

I think I was kinda peeved when I posted last.

Thanks for the offer Celestial. I'll let you know if I need help.

Congrats on the title. That's cool you guys did the steamroller thing.

I tried doing this last night and our PUGs (yes, TWO full teams, though the 2nd team had members leaving for various reasons) tore through enemies; but we ended up being 2 minutes over because of waiting around for Togo to open doors. Which was a bit frustrating (I thought we were much faster...)

So I guess the only advice I have is to make sure everyone keeps moving forward; waiting around will only be your downfall, I suppose.

I'm blushing now

I really had fun playing with you - we definitely had a great team. So bad you weren't here for Tanhakai - that was the craziest mision I've ever done: everybody barraging and nuking his way in an EoE chaos - lovely!

PS: I've just got the title too

Oh and the (1) just means ANET found necessary to indicate the tier, even when there is only one...

my mm had no problems....we coordinated with the local team to make sure what all 16 people were bringing we had 2 mm on our side.....and we nailed it.....

now have 4 other characters to finish it with as masters....

I find Vizunah pretty easy. I just brought my monk and necro through factions and they got masters the first try in that mission. With my Necro the other team was all henchies and one monk (human), and with my monk, I was the only one monking my team, so it certainly is possible, even at low odds. Just gotta stay focused for the most part. Having a team that doesn't suck is a plus too.

This mission is easy with EoE, but how to play after EoE got nerfed? Rah Balder, ur post is from yesterday so u used EoE after the nerf? How did u bring afflicted below 90%? Nukes? Barrage? You were with henchies so it's not like it was team build.

Got masters on it last night on my MM. One guildy with me, an ele, the rest henchies and henchies on the other side. I have done this before and missed masters by as much as two minuetes, but last night we got it with 21 seconds to spare, and we could have cut down on that time by at least a min. We didn't use EoE.

I've never bothered with Vizunah because I'm a hench freak and have that "Pugs are terrible/risky" mentality, but I only tried the other night for Masters because a friend needed help to get it. Surprisingly, I got Masters twice on two attempts for two separate characters. <_<; Finished at around 22 minutes each time. Must've been my luck.

Same basic group build for both tries: 2 monks, tank, nuke, mm, plus 3 whatever. MMs are king here. If they weren't nerfed they could easily solo this mission to Masters. At times our SS complained he couldn't fire one off since the minions were killing them too fast.
