Default The way I made progess w/map when I was stuck

I got about 83% of the map cleared and couldn't find what I was missing. I am now at making good progress. Here is what I did.

Solution 1
Go to http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Map and print the Regions Maps and go section by section. Use a pen to cross out each section as you clear it and it looks like the maps.

Solution2
Use this spreadsheet to and go to each item. Once you have cleared it or been there check it off the list. The explorable areas are tricky. You have to be absolutley certian you cleared the who area. Solution 1 will help. The sreadsheet will also help ensure you didn't miss any missions. I got this list from gameamp and turned into a checklist spreadsheet. I am using solution 1. If I am still missing something afterwards I will use solution 2. I am @ 93%

What if I want to use a pencil or magic marker instead of a pen, will this method still be as effective?

From everything I've read, Pre-Searing does not count towards the title Tyrian Grandmaster Cartographer.

Yea I did. Which sticky are you talking about? There are 3 and what are you trying to say? I read all three and they didn't help me in my quest to achieve 100% map exploration. I made my progress by using my solutions. Since this is not yet closed I am guessing the moderator agrees that the suggestion I have made is not a duplicate post.

Try to help some people...
I think a pencil will work but I haven't tried it. Please share your result.

You said you read the sticky, so why do you then ask which one? My point is there is no reason to start a new thread when there is already a perfectly good one. Help reduce forum clutter, don't leave it up to the mods to keep it clean (do YOU want to work on the weekend?)

Whatever works for you is great. Thanks for making an effort. You method won't help you find those little hard to reach nooks and crannies though. Your method is pretty much only useful when you've somehow missed an entire zone and aren't sure if you've mapped it or not. (Funny, as I was earning my GM explorer titles, I never had to wonder if i'd explored a zone or not - I could tell by looking)

Cheers.

Ah thanks for clarifying. Actually I did miss an entire section. Looking at the world map to determine if I missed anything didn't help. Viewing the world map makes the zone too small and I kept overlooking what I missed. If you have a print out of each section like I did I was able to notice that even though I explored a section already I missed small parts (nooks and crannies). If you didn't wonder if you explored a section already you must have played consistantly. There are times I don't play for weeks and I can't recall missions I completed or what I have done. I decide to post this because I am certian I am not the only one who found that the stickies weren't as useful as my method.

I think this would help to begin with.....making sure that you have all the areas (like has been mentioned) and keeping track of all the cities you have explored....but the other method (overlay/comparison) is most helpful when you are stuck and unsure WHERE that last .2% is....OP good work and good luck
