"Thats more than lucky" :P

I dont think it was luck, personally, I feel it is anets programming, and there is a slight bug in it somewhere. Far far more likely than the same green dropping to the same person 4 times in a row, or me getting a green drop from several bosses in sf/grenths with 5 henchies n 2 guildies, while the guildies got nothing.

Default does rotscale really drops every time?

because i just killed him three times in a row with my guildie and so far he didn't drop anything! it's kinda annoying really according to the fact that everyone says he drops that green bow every time he dies...now what would you call this "luck"

Your math is not correct. Since there are 8 players the chance for a drop to one person is 1 out or 8. There for the correct math is 1/8 x 1/8 x 1/8 x 1/8.

If you need more then just my word on it google ask doctor math

lol, hmm, this thread has been brought back from the grave lol.

The 1/8 x 1/8 x 1/8 x 1/8 is the correct way to work out the probability of the drop happening.

However, in response to the poster that states that he he tried it 3 times, and no bow drops at all, maybe anet has nerfed the rotscale drops.

not trying to troll around here but just because it happened to your party doesn't make it a worldwide glitch your just unlucky ;P and the guy must have his luck title maxed out from that. Seriously its just an underdog probability that actually happened may not see it ever again. ;P
You have witnessed something truly special....annoying too but hey not all special things are great lol

indeed, you are probably right

However, i felt then, and still dow now, that the 0.0244% chance of the green actually dropping the the same person 4 times in a row is far less likely than there being a programing glitch, as we all know, "the simplest explanation is most often the right one"

However, seeing as I have never seen a repeat performance(mainly cause I havent farmed rotscale again) it could have just been an act of random probability, or perhaps anet fixed the bug i suspected, and just never published the fact(which they have done numerous times)

Just sounds like a mixture of random luck/chance. Drops are random and there is not hacks to make the game drop to the same person over and over again.

I been on missions with guildies and had two dyes (Green and Silver), 3 gold runes and 2 gold weapons drop for me... while others didn't get anything.

It maybe a bug, but most likely its just damn luck.

Yeah, never considered that it was a hack at all, as tbh, if you had a hack that made all drops come to you, why use it on rotscale, rather than in fow or uw say.

It was most likely a product of luck, and really, i think its time to let this old thread die peacfully, and fade into the night..........

Agreed

And with that final comment, I'm closing this now.
