Strange

before i bought the game, I was frantically reading everything on Guildwiki, Guild Wars Unofficial, and Guild Wars Guru, trying to at least get the gist of the game and how not to seem like a complete retard while playing.

I have never actually seen a guide on what to actually have in a group, so i naturally just went with whatever in missions. I had 1000 something deaths by the Ring of Fire, due to complete wipe-outs and such.

I think my completion percantage was something relaly absurd like 20%. It was because I played with people who were even more retarded than me, aggroing as much as possible, not ressurecting when needed, and just comepletely fooling around.

I suggested this sort of guideline so that new players wouldn't be as discouraged as I was when I first started =(.

Oh, and about the barrage comment. I've seen rangers just spam nothing but barrage, favorable, and troll. Nothing else. Which really pissed me off when we seriously needed interruption on boss casters and such =/

If elementalists had such a low damage output, why the hell would I even bring them? Any kind of elementalist is good, even water (though not in the asepct of damage output.) Basically, I really don't depend on warriors to do damage because:

1. They get so concentrated on what their trying to kill, they forget about the rest of the team.
2. Their damage concentrates on one target, excluding triple chop and cyclone (which is still a pretty low AoE damage output due to how often it is cast)
3. Also, if you wanted warriors to deal damage, why not just bring an assassin instead? Oh yea, they have to stay alive =/ (I would definetly choose an assassin over a warrior anyday if it's only about damage output)

PvE is much different than PvP, where AoE damage plays a much more larger and significant role. Against human players, anything can outdamage an elementalist. But in the enviornment of large mobs, elementalists can triumph over any other class.

Nice guide, I'm sure quite a few new players will find it useful.
So it's 6 months back, not exactly a minimum amount of time.

Anyway if I were a newbie I wouldn't write a guide, would you? (I'm not saying OP is a newbie, and for what matters I did not mean to flame, I was just disappointed; anyway I tried in my 2 posts to explain rationally what I was saying)

Cookie Cutter PuGs are so last year, and anything generally works if the players are good.
