Default How to kill Sandworms

Hi,

Im in the desert and ran into an annoying sandworm. How to kill these beasts, they disappear as soon you start attack them. When they show up again at the surface they have full health. This can go on forever...

I tried several times and it ends up with me running to teleporters. Are they not supposed to be killed?

Shield of Judgement {E}, Balthazar's Aura and Symbol of Wrath work fine with a Mo/W combo. Balanced stance is recommended here.

He's not asking how to farm them, he's asking how to kill them with any normal build.

Anyways, I find that they go back underground if not enough damage is done
to them. The second they pop up get all your team to attack it, it should stay up.

Stand still. If you walk away from it, it'll go back under to follow you.

I just kill em like I kill drakes. Dolyak+Glads+Rip+Deadly Rip

I managed to solo a wurm and 8-9 Drakes earlier today.ll you gotta do is kill the Drakes first because the wards make it hard to hit the Wurm with Gash after Deadly Riposte.

Sib, are you there as your Ele? I call target on the wurm when it pops up to get the henchies to attack then spam flare/fireball/mark of rodgort works well here too

Thanks for all replies.

Yes, Im there as an Ele - Fire. And with henches. Actually it was my first visit to the desert, and became a bit confused over the worms. I'll try some of the tips I got in replies and try to keep the worm at surface. It's a lot to learn with all the variables and ways to combine the skills. Also armor and weapons have to be taken in consideration. Nice game.

You definitely need to attack the wurm for it to stay in place/above ground.

Just bring some anti-melee skills, and you should do well against it.

Thanks for all help!

Killed three sandwurms tonight. And yes, using balanced stance was the key. Interesting though, I had a lot of health all the time. But the wurm could take a lot of beating before it gave up its breath .

Cheers,

Just wait until you need to cap Feast of Corruption. You'll have a field day with Maw =D

Congrats on overcoming the biggest non-boss monsters
