Default Lost story line at Anmoon Oasis

I followed the story line to Amoon Oasis but there doesn't seem to be anyway to continue the story line from here.

There does not appear to be any primary quests or missions coming out of here.

Any help would be appreciated.

There is no 'primary quest' there iirc. You need to do Sands of Souls quest and the 3 Desert Missions, Elona Reach, Thirsty River and Dunes of Despair.

YOU MUST WANDER IN THE DESERT FOR TEN AND TWENTY DAYS!

*cough*

Ok, just being silly. The Crystal desert is an enclosed part of the game, so explore and find the other towns and outposts. From there you'll find out more of what you are supposed to do. Try heading south first, I think thats the closest outpost.

Ascending is the only thing you'll really get out of the CD and I kind of think thats the way its supposed to be...

You should find 1 or 2 quests. 1 leads you to Augry Rock. From there, you can get quests that will lead you to Hero's Ascent, Seeker's Passage and some other city. From there you can get to Dunes of Dispair, Elona's Reach and Thirsty River. Each will take you back to Augry Rock and once you have completed each city mission, then you can Ascend at Augry Rock.

There is indeed a quest from the ghost that leads to Augury. The ghost is near the henchies and I think he is so tall that the ! is inside of him instead of above him.

Yeah, it's a bit tricky. Sand of Souls does not count as Primary Quest. Maybe because you can easily skip it, or who knows.
You have to go east, to Augury Rock. There the three ghosts in Mesa will tell you to complete 3 missions that will help you ascend. Elona Reach is in North, Dunes of Despair is in South-West and Thirsty River is in South-East of Augury Rock.

After you have completed those three missions, go back to mesa and walk trough those three stones

I like how he punishes those people who rush through the game, only talking to npc's with the ! above their head.

I never did understand why the Ghostly Heroes were so freaking tall. Even with a max height character, they've easily got two or three feet on you...

I imagined Elona being filled with freakishly tall bearded men with that silly way of speaking.

I was slightly disappointed.
