well not really i think. I took 1 dye remover each time, and mixed that with 3 silver...with each silver you see the dye remover become lighter and lighter.

Think about this.. if you mix 1 bottle of red paint with one bottle of white paint you would get lighter red. But then when you use 3 bottles of white to mix with 1 bottle of red the red would be alot lighter.. I take it its working the same way with the GW dyes

Heres the closest Ive gotten white on my ele. It works for me...but formula I used is yellow+silver+silver+silver. Depending on where you are it always differs in color if you have a silver in a mix because lighting. Silvers with dye remover just gives some crappy colors no close to white in my trails.

Right so you didnt use 1 dye remover as you said then but 3?

so its the same as 1 silver dye, and adding 3 dye removers to it.

noooo..the other way around. Take 1 dyeremover, and throw 3 silvers in it. The dye remover in your inventory will get lighter with each silver you drop in it..hope that explains it

Now, I haven't actually tested this, but I remember being told that Dye Remover doesn't actually make anything lighter, but makes it more transparent, thereby making the BASE COLOR of armor shine through it.

That means that a Dye Remover with 3x Silvers will make a light silver that lets the base color of the armor it's a applied to, shine through more. That might explain the funny colors people are experiencing; the Dye Remover that everyone is throwing into the mix is letting the color of the blue (?) Platemail armor shine through the 3x Silvers. That was an example and I ain't even sure.

Just throwing in some information.

Dye Remover is just a bottle of the base color of your armor..so for 15k gladiators its gold/yellow

Because, if you mix the same colour to the same colour, it becomes a deeper colour, check out this chart: http://www.estorm.com.au/gallery/gwcolours/chart.htm

I'm not so sure. A Dye Remover is a bottle of, well, bleach. It removes any dye/paint that has been applied, leaving only the color of the actual armor. On 15k gladiator's armor, the base color is a goldish-yellow. Dye Remover removes anything BUT that color.

However, you might be right too. The problem is that we don't know, and that causes some problems. Either Dye Remover ADDS the old color on top of everything new, or it removes all the new and leaves the old.

I think it's the last one but...

All i see are coloured squares, with text size 1 text.

and no add blue to blue you get blue, see this one its much better. (and there are several others that agree with it if you google).

http://www.guildwiki.org/wiki/Image:...radded2yu2.JPG

(EDIT for example to make a deeper blue you add black, or blue blue black. Blue + Blue = Blue)

/sigh I really wish you guys would read the first post.

Dye Remover is a gimmicky name. It doesn't actually remove any dye, but instead dyes the Armor its original base color. It's basically a Vial of Dye that is always the base color of the armor it's used on, and it also acts as such when used in a dye mix.

Any Mesmers out there find a nice white'sh combination yet? If so, do you have any pic's?

I did the yellow + 3 silvers on mine that has drok armor (rouge chest & boots, and I think just ench's hands & legs). It made the trim pretty darn close to white, but the main color was just more of a light grey. I'll try to remember to post a couple pics when I get home.

yellow + silver + silver + silver is more of a tanned color than white. white would be the color of the monks robes.

i think its all a gimmick and really depends on your graphics card and what your settings are. hell i can make green purple just by using my card settings if i really wanted to.
