Removed flame posts. If some of you feel the need to be mean and annoying, please keep it to PMs. Most of us have better things to do then read flame fests.

nice work, tastes good? I'm gonna trade in my level 20 dire phoenix for a level 5 croc anyhow, they are too cool. However, I will continue looking for the pymy hippo, and will post when and if I find so that you may continue your hippo jerky crusade.

There are a number of changes to pets that have been done for real world considerations:
Cranes head plumage coloring changed to not be the same as a real world crane that is endangered or revered in certain cultures.
Pandas aren't charmable as they are revered in certain cultures and cute and cuddly and some people get upset seeing a dead panda.

I want a koala or 'roo pet
i have actually seen a ranger with a pet panda in one of my sorrows furnace runs. not sure how or when they got it, but apparently it's not impossible.

There are also tho: elder crocs (dunno if these are effectively charmable though as they are always charmed by the time you can get in range), and regular crocs, lions, lionesses, Jahai rats, flamingoes and warthogs of course, hyenas, and probably more that Im not remembering. But I've not seen the pigmy hippo elsewhere yet...perhaps its a new endgame pet like phoenix tho.
i think hippos were removed after the WPE, there r crocs in the lahtenda bog area now, never liked hippos so i'm not disappointed i finally charmed a cute ratlet cant care less about hippos now

"Last time I checked, 280 was a smaller number than 1600. Don't bother mentioning the number of tigers found in India, I am not from there. I am highly offended having normal Bengal tigers charmed, sent to battle and killed. It is really horrific to see and since it is an endangered species in my birth country, I demand that ANET remove it immediately."

Is there a Bengal Tiger pet IG or is it a poor lowly average run of the mill Tiger pet? MM's love tigers any tigers especialy young ones. I think they should actually have drops when they die, Tiger hides for salvaging and making armor. Better yet Tiger fangs, now we are getting somewhere. I guess its ok to send a wart hog to certain death, poor poor piggy. I am now so ashamed of myself for sending Piggy and Tiger to a certain and cruel death, will someone group hug a tree with me before I chop it down for fire wood. *hug* Now I can res Tiger and Piggy and do it again. Waaahoo fun fun fun!

Well, just to fix your technical...

Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Serpent, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Chicken, Dog, Pig. Those are the chinese zodiac, and lion is not one of them. Lion exist in China more as a myth.

Extra info: fyi
While you really shouldn't expect Chinese to get caring for animal, as generally Chinese eat any kind of animal. The reason Panda was banned? China government had been long known for harsh straight efficient governing, they say it, they do it. There aren't many country who is so strict in what can be inside their society. It so happen that ALL Panda in the world (no matter where it is born) belong to Chinese government, hence, killing it would be marking Chinese government etc. Put panda in, risk the enitre market in China.
