Well I was talking this over with my guild and think about it, dye drops are damn rare normally so doubling the drop rate isn't going to help much, just give an extra one here and there...

I have only had an orange drop since event started.

It should have been named 'drop dead dye weekend' lmao

Double weekend yeah sure, double of nothing is nothing. Instead of doubling it, it should have been a henchies get nothing weekend.

Wow overall from the weekend I ended up getting 1 purple dye. Too bad the double dye event didn't cause Black Dye prices to drop by much...

I found two dyes during the -ENTIRE- double dye weekend, and one more after 30-40 minutes after it was over.

That's triple my normal rate for a week, unless I assume the last one counts for this week, which means I should expect to not find any more dyes this week.

I must have been on for 30+ hours over Friday and the weekend, I went at it quite heavily...

The problem with making dye more common is that while it helps people get more appealing characters, older players who have vested their 'game capital' in dye hording don't want the prices corrected - which increasing availability would do.

Whenever I tried during the event, I got dyes. I farmed the Plains of Jarin for 3 hours and got 3 dyes (1 orange, 1 red, 1 purple). Unfortunately, these were all "crap dyes". Farming the same area on wednesday I got 2 whites in 1 run.

Basically it's not a question of being nerfed, its just the luck of the draw. I was thinking we'd see a lot more whites though because it would have made sense for ANet to flood the market with white and lower the price.

I got both a white and a black dye, 1 of each, during the weekend.
So I'm a happy man
