Default The rescue mission in Gandara

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to finish the rescue mission in Gandara, the one where you have to dress up like Kournan soldiers and infiltrate the place. The mission is really quite easy, until you get the annoying lvl 16 NPC that you have to protect.

How do I keep her from dying? I've even tried bringing 4 healers with me, but she still dies at the last group of enemies before the boats, sometimes even earlier.

I'd really appreciate some pointers, this is definately the most frustrating mission I've come across so far...

I found that if I kept my character back out of the thickest part of the action, she didn't die. Course that was easy for me, as I was a ranger. My suggestion is to send in your team via flags to aggro and start killing the last group while you hang back ever so slightly to pick of stragglers and keeping the level 16 well out of action.

I noticed that the Hero Monks ignore Allied NPCs, but Monk Henchies will try to keep the NPCs' red bars up.

If you don't mind a little micromanaging, you can target the lvl 16 and force your hero monks to heal them, I've found that little trick to be incredibly useful in some of the escort missions/quests.
