You can have a crocodile at the south of Istan, in the south west of the explorable area near the third mission

Eh, none of you guys knows what the original guy posted is talking about?

You see, in Factions, you can tame a Dire Tiger near the mobs, if you try hard enough. They are usually charmed by a monster near by, but if you are lucky, you can actually charm them before they are turned pets.
manitoba1073 is wondering if there's a way to get to the Dire Crocs before the Heckets charm them.

I have been trying this, but so far no success. I'm trying to find different ways of agroing the Heket while leaving a gap for Croc to be capped. I think I know the best place to do it but it will take some skill. I'm not sure of the name of the spot but its on the far east of the Estate near that fort, if you approach from the north side the agro seems a little slower. I think thats was it, sorry if this isn't much help, I was trying this about a week ago.

I know one person that got one so far, speed buffs are your friend. Just rezone until there's enough seperation.

I was there yesterday and saw three available, easily, and didn't have charm animal equipped.

I would bet coming out of Pogan Passage and sprinting towards the NE. On the nearby beach IIRC there were a couple elder croc's, and on one trip yesterday (mapping), one of them stayed green for about 5 sec after I had aggroed the group. That is where I would try.

In Factions a friend of mine and I managed to tame a dire tiger that was previously some yeti's pet. We just killed pet's owner and then he tried to tame the animal...charm animal said invalid target at first but we found out that if we lower the animal's hp somehow he was able to charm it. Don't ask me how it works but we did it...twice. Location: Pongmei Valley, Yetis and their Dire Tigers.

Or if you're fast enough and able to survive for 10 seconds, just target the animal from distance, activate charm animal skill and use your fastest running stance to get the aggro hoping you'll be faster then the others...this actually works in Pongmei Valley too, it just takes few tries
