Just finished THK at noon, both Bonus and Mission. Hardly any challenge at all, everyone is bored and kept saying "When is this gonna end?". Here is the team build (not by design, just pick up whatever there were. However, all 5 human players are pretty good, including myself, of course).

2 Warriors (good tanks and also does damage)
1 Ele (typical echo/fire nuker)
1 Ranger (Barrage/Pet)
1 Monk (Healing light build)
2 Monk Heros (Woh and other healing build)
1 MM hero (olias, Lvl 26 Flesh Golem)

We just brew through the first part, hardly anyone getting below 75% of the health and the MM kept a good supply of 10 mininons all the time. This made my job really bored, I end up healing the other Monk hero since he was with the warrior and stayed at frond line.

Then we kind of camping around the king, with one warrior missing for a good part of the time because he was finding the beacons to light. The other warrior (with his monk hero) likes to run out to the gate and I had to keep reminding him to come back. The bone horrors and Flesh Golem pretty much kept Jade and Mussat at bay so the Ranger and Ele can barrage and nuke them. Anyway, not many of them going through to us.

The only risk came at one point that every one else were running to west gate and left only me and my MM, Monk Hero with King. The king almost got killed when I kind of lagging for a few seconds.

Anyway, what a difference for this mission. I remembered that my Necro and my Ranger had to try so many times on this mission about a year ago. I guessed that PPL are getting good at this game now, considering all the farmings we had done in sorrow's furnance.

My tactic for THK, it depends like all tactics off course on ppl listening.

You need 2 ele's (or barrage ranger) a MM (with self healing skills if you cant get two monks/rt healers), 2 monks/rt healers, at least one warrior and the rest to fill in yourself

Have 2 run for the beacons at the start.

split 4/4 put the 2 ele's (or ranger) at the catapults and have them constantly fire them they dont come down ever. when the remaining enemies are closing in on the gate they can nuke them from above. In the meanwhile have the MM (and one monk)guard one gate while the rest kill of the enemies at the other gate. When they are finished rush to the MM aid.

The MM leaves for the other gate to block it and you just repeat this till the end switching between gates.

Use the catapults they are not there for nothing, it can kill half the aproaching enemies easily and weaken the bosses greatly and if your lucky even kill them.

If your not comfortable with only one MM gaurding one gate designate one warrior or ranger to be "flying support" between gates rushing to aid when called for. I f you have 2 monks make one monk the "flying support" give extra healing on wich side needed.

If ppl listen and dont run out of the gates in pursuit of enemies this works 9 out of 10 times.

I have 'nt tried this since the major update on monster ai but i reckon it should still work. I 'm going to try it with heroes & hench one of these days. should make it easier i think, set them to guard at one gate while you take the "normal" hench to the other gate.

Well i also had been having problems getting THK for my new monk char.
Last 2 nights i had been trying, in PUGS, and have to say i was amazed at how bad most players actually were.

I tried it 12 times in 2 nights and gave up in disgust, until i read this thread.

Rangers-Play like warriors
Eles- Play like warriors
Necros - Play like warriors
see a pattern forming here?
Warriors-Fight seperately, agro everything in sight, fight those they dont have to, and my biggest beef with them, they refuse to wait after they have agroed everything in sight for you to regen.
Instead they are rushing off the next battle.

I am quite new to monking, and mainly made a monk for 2 reasons.
Want to get into some UW and FOW farming later when i am a more capable monk and as my main char is a wammo, wanted to learn more about monk skills.

I will be getting into pvp and gvg later, as pve doesnt really do it for me tbh, apart from farming, but for the time being need to be in parties to progress through the game.

Anyways, after reading this thread, and seeing where we were going wrong in PUGS, i decided to do THK with henchies only.
It was very easy tbh, i was actually surprised how easy it was, after the nights of pain and anghuish i went through with PUGS.

I am posting this in the hope some of those people in unsucsessful PUGS can try missions/quests with henchies only and also that some of those that are ruining the experience for others, learn something.

Thanks to all for the above posts as they gave me the confidence to do it henchie style and took away my RAGE...
