I believe the boss is called Hajkor, the mystic flame, exit remains of sahlahlja to sulfuric waste, turn left. he's just right up the hill.

You mean the pile of steaming garbage that is Savanah's Heat? It's a back loaded AoE that even PvE enemies flee from. You're lucky if you can even get a single enemy to be within the AoE for the 3rd, 4th, and 5th damage packets, much less multiple foes.

This elite is not worth the purchase price of a cap sig. Try out searing flames instead which is a solid fire elite in both PvE and PvP.

Really? Funny, I've had a lot of luck using Savannah Heat, currently my elite of choice for my ele. Currently at the Gate of Fear, so can't be that bad.

Yes, things kite from AoE, but it is surprising how many enimies do stick around for a while. Going to have to go away now and grab some screen shots :-)

The reason why Searing Flame is better, is because it's not inheritently damage over time, since its DoT is caused by burning.
This allows you to spam it continuously, without the mob moving an inch.
They don't register it as an AoE that they need to flee from, so they simply sit there and burn/spam to death in seconds.

Sandstorm is a better AoE than Savannah Heat IMO

To one target only. For PvE, I think that pairing yourself with another elementalist who casts Deep Freeze 1 second before you cast your Savanah Heat would be more effective than bringing gale yourself.

This is still beside the point that all fire elites pale in comparison to Searing Flames. Anybody who says differently is delusional. Highly armored targets do not matter, because the burning ignores armor. Glowing gaze and fire attunement allow you to manage your energy quite nicely (unlike Savanah Heat); even throw in glyph of lesser if you find you still need more e-management for PvE. And last but not least, there is matter of recharge. 2 seconds vs. 20 seconds. One of these recharges allows the elementalist to actually do damage and the other leaves them standing around waiting for their next apportunity to scatter the mobs with their overpriced bug spray.

Yeah I have been eleing for a long time now and searing flames is by far the best elite for bringing down max amount of dmg to the most enemies in shortest space of time. In fact I think it can only be a matter of time before its nerfed in some way - it is so disproportionatley more powerful than any other ele fire build imo. So enjoy it whilst it lasts for I suspect it won't last that long. Just my 2ps worth.

PS it also works well in 'combo' so have a ele hero using the same build and you get a synergisitc effect - and give your other heros fire dmg and burning skills for even more of a kicker. I also mastered all mission except the final one using a searing heat build and heros / hencies - something I was not able to do with my dervish.

Yea, this was what I was abut to suggest...Snare + AoE seems to work quite well in Elona. In fact the Heket in Dejarin Estate didn't really seem to care, even when they could run away, when I put Maelstrom on them

Hadn't played with Savannah Heat, preferring the 'sticky nuke' properties of Searing Flame. I'll have to make a bit of time for it.

By the numbers though, Sandstorm is considerably more powerful. I run Earth alot and have made good use of this spell. It's fun watching tough enemies melt away as they try to figure out which way to run to get out of it.

I took my warrior in to the consulate docks mission along with sousuke equipped with searing flames and glowing gaze and a few other choice fire spells instead of savvanah heat, just to see what all the fuss is about.

I can see what the fuss is about. nice spell. It may not be my first choice for my ele. but I can see my heroes loving it.
