As for the gems my intoxicated friend mentioned in last week's interview, the Order's scouts report they have seen four different types in this new area. Please do not mistake these gems for the sapphires, rubies, and diamonds used in armor crafting. These are entirely different. And, while their use and purpose is not clear, many amongst the Order suspect them to be some sort of magical artifacts, perhaps used for a ritual or spell.
From the Scribe #24. He mentions new Gems being part of a Ritual or a Spell. Perhaps this 'ritual' will be to summon + obtain the last hero, Razah?

Discuss.

Oh, and I'm not sure if this should be in the Lore forum or not. If the mods want to move it, then please do so

Hmm, my friend bought an onyx gemstone from the rare material trader a while back, and could never find any use or mention of it besides in a GW.com update saying they updated the art for it. Maybe this is one of the new gems?

EDIT: heres the thread http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10072012
