It's not about the benefits. PVP Rank doesn't prove anything at all, yet it is a requirement in HA. It's just a way to keep new players out. Players are like that, they want their own elite community where they are the king of them all and every kind of title, emote or whatever allows them to do just that.

Besides though. Rank4 is not exactly hard to get. Get a friend along and setup your heroes to include 2+1 Searing Flames Spammer, 1 Water Ele and have your friend as well as you carry your Lightbringers Gaze (echo it, if you must. I did it without Echo). Have a BIP/BR Necro and pack the rest full on monks (2 heal, 1 prot). You kill so fast it's just not funny anymore. Wiping an entire area takes around 30 minutes and nets you around 700 LB Points.

I think that these sad individuals who now have introduced a 'requirement' of having a certain rank in this category of 'Lightbringer' are probably either stuck up high pvp ranked players or simply wannabes who now want to do onto others what was perhaps done to them in HA.

Whichever the reason that these people have introduced this lousy precedent into PvE there will always be people arround who will not bow down and stoop to their level, I for one will certainly not.

If I have to rely on these people to enter this area which has been mentioned, (I still have not reached it and in no hurry either) think twice people whoever you are.

Man this is unbelieveablem, rank discrimination in PvE.

This certainly is not want anet want with Nightfall as by introducing all these great titles, it has opened opporunities for individuals' betterment at the game in the sphere of PvE since PvP had a lot of these, but as is usual, there are always some people who always have to start these sad issues.

Shame on all those concerned.

so what if you have a maxed out LB rank? i mean you're not getting anymore skills after R3 and that damage reduction is usefull yeah BUT what the hell are you gonna use it for? solo farm? doubt it, otherwise you have monks on the team who act just aswell as that damage reduction

These people, will use it just to state that they are superior to those who dont have it, and by 'these people' I refer to those who have now made this outrageous requirement.

Superiority complex syndrome thats what it all boils down to.

What I said earlier in the week, glad some other people are starting to see this crap, we had a couple of those in a team the other day, I just quit as they wouldnt take my friend whos a damn good player but "only" a LB 1 but I was ok in their book as I'm LB 3.

Ridiculous and what I knew would happen as soon as these titles came out, showing acheivment is one thing, using it to discriminate is another and one that I dont agree with.

2 players, 6 heroes. Use one of the 8 roles as your character allows.

Doesn't affect me because i've got plenty of Lightbringer Points on my char, but well it's a pity that people are allready starting Rank Elitism in PVE as well.

i think they are making those requirements to do more damage with gaze.

not completely sure, i havent reached vabbi yet so this is just a guess.

I ran into that possibility as well. I noticed a certain monster spontaneouosly respawning out of its own corpse, and I had it worked out in all of 3 seconds. I've yet to try it though.

I don't think Derto has been outside in a while. Or has a faster method than I do, either one. Cause 10k points would take about 2-3 days of constant playing. Then again I can't really just do that all day in the game so yeah. Okay so I did the math and it's about a day and a half so I guess it's possible enough if he's not doing anything else. Then again you have the chance that he is using a group and doing it in about 1-2 hours.

well if he had 15k on the 3rd and today on the 5th he has 25k he might just be "farming" like I am.. >> ~8 enemies dying every 90 seconds or so.. so 200 points an hour.. would take roughly 10 days nonstop leaving my computer on / gw up to hit 50k.. but it's being nerfed sometime soon, so, oh well.

@200/hour that's ~4800 every 24 hours.. so 2 days... about the 10k needed to go from r6 to r7

Or maybe he is doing what was hinted at above him. Letting his hench/hero team kill a respawning point giver and AFK-ing all day.
