lol I defnitely wanna face this beast of Argh (and I really should bring guys from another guild in my alliance called... Argh ).

I find silly you're asked to take a break after 2 hours when the missions/quests are designed to take longer than that to beat...

How in the world does someone have 9hours at a time to play anyway? After going through all of that - I would think you'd be upset, but man. It's a shame that so much work can be ruined in such a short amount of time. Geeze - at least they could let you rez them or something.

Default And The Dice Roll Says....

I was the prot monk in this party, in charge of leading the snakes out. We did two okay. But one survivor is sitting in a little notch in the wall, so there's really only one way out.

We laid traps, protted everything to the moon, and talked to the guy before running away. At least 13 Dementias pop up (see the red dots picture) directly in front of him. When trying to run out, he was body blocked (the Crippled hardly mattered). GG.

Can he be rescued? Sure. I bet at least one out of three times you would be successful. The other two times you die because you were unlucky in the Dementia's spawn and response. I'm not much for a dice roll after 4-9 hours of work. This also assumes that ANet's first line of defense, the err7, doesn't get you 4 hours in.

BTW, plenty of Condition removal is irrelevant. 13 Dementias using two different conditions can keep Crippled on their target no matter how many condition removals you take.

Also, Prot Spirit is your main line of defense. Candy Canes help only marginally. Without Prot Spirit, a candy cane turns a one-hit Ele wonder into a one-spike Ele wonder.

I'm glad you can laugh about it. The pioneers always suffer the most, but get the most glory.

I consider myself an average player, not like those who say they are ubber players. THESE you see a lot arround.

I have been playing Guild Wars since the game started with prophesies through factions and now nightfall.

Saw the conception of FoW and Underworld which when they came out seemed hard to do, then saw The Deep and Urgox (spelling may be wrong).

Now we have this new area which has been classed as elite by anet.

Lets compare areas here.

Fow, now can be duo'ed or even 5 man teams, underworld can be soloed etc etc. Elite? no longer i think.

Urgox and deep, loved the 12 man team concept despite the mission, yes a mission not a quest, being long and boring.

Nightfall elite area, totally an anticlimax.

First, get a team.

Second, discuss tactics, builds, skills etc etc.

Third, in you go.

Fourth, shock to the system, meet the sas of the monsters in the form of speeding red dots with ubber attributes and plenty of hexes that will pawn u in seconds. I fthey don;t, you slowly progrees into the QUEST, and i say quest because its classed as a quest, and you carry on making a slow progress and chances are that you will be pawned.

I am tottaly dissapointed with this new are which after the amount of publicity which was given to it to find this ubber hard quests which require countless hours just to achieve the completion of 1 quest.

Some of us play this game for unwinding or simply to kill a few hours not for this new form of play which has sadly been introduced.

This is not a complaint, its merely facts.

For those who have completed the quests I congratulate you all but there are others who are still trying to do even just 1 quest, me one of them.

Noobs is what you may call me or people like me. So be it, but it still does not dispute the fact that the new area is a total flop.

It is noticeable that each day there are less and less people in the the new area. true enough, some may have moved onto the next area.

Shame man.

^ totally agree with you. I have an SF ele "parked" in DOA and make occasional forays in with PUGs. It takes so long to progress, however, that I rarely play there!
..You want to know where i usally go for PvE? Sorrow's Furnace! (imo one of the best designed and most fun explorable areas in the game)
