I love how people judge them when apparently none have been acquired.

The item for the tormented is in sale in auction !

Is it real...is there realy some1 who gathered all the gems and if yes...is he realy wiling to sell it ?

Maybe he got the item in a drop from a chest , who knows.

Its time to get the info all. I say he might had been lucky and got it from a drop of the chest who used the gems to get it.

any1 ?

I'd love to see a pic of the axe which was aquired, I've seen the shield (there is an auction on here going for 700k) so I know what it looks like. Obviously I can't tell if it is animated from a still picture, but the seller claimed it is.

Was trying to find the link for the auction but it wouldn't load on me, rest assured it was on sale!

In regards to looking at the collectors items and only having a thumbnail, well little fingernail image to view it from!

This is one of the areas ANET could improve, they could provide a weapon or armour viewer! You go to collector/crafter, choose the item and click on view, not only can you view just the item, but also you wearing it or wielding it!

Unless I own it then it is not true! I don't believe half of the stuff exists, since I have never owned one so I don't lose sleep over what others say is true or is real.

As with most, 100 gems seems a little over the top! Especially when you consider ANETS stance on farming or buying gold from ebayers etc... This will only encourage more people to go and buy gold or to farm, even for the gems themselves.

I never understand them at times, they stamp down on farming and then implement something that the average player would need to play for years before they could purchase through "normal" gameplay! Sunspear and lightbringer points = farming, 25 of each gem = farming, so we can farm when it suits ANET but not when it suits us to earn that extra cash to buy what we want? Anyway RANT over!

Of course if anyone wants to show me their tormented items then I'm willing to take a look!

Wanders off, wondering just how to earn enough gold.... Hang on where do I store that amount of gold????

I think Anet agrees with you on the first point since they lowered the cost of an ambrace to 15 of each gem. Read the update notes FTW.

Farming is not dead. It may be a little harder depending on what kind of farming you do but it is still very doable. As for storing that much gold, you don't have to. Farm up some cash, buy some gems, rinse and repeat. Honestly how do you think people have millions of gold? You obviously can't hold that much so you convert some of it into jewels, ectos, dyes, etc...

And just to be somewhat on topic, I too would love to see pictures of any torment items.

Never said farming was dead!

ANET put in a lot of effort to slow down the farming process but yet they expect you to farm for things they add to the game! That is how it looks to me, someone who plays the game and does not have a mass amount of time to farm (yes I have done it to buy my armour) but 2-4 hours per week is not enough time especially if you also want to be progressing your story line.

Yes I know the limitations of the amount of gold etc.. convert to gems or ecto, create other chars to store the items on etc... So lets see, I need to store some more gold because the prices of gems and ectos are changing too much for my liking! I create a new char for the storage, hang on I have no blank char slots, OK, I'll have to buy one! Now I can pay ANET extra RL money for a character I am using for storage, so why can I not just pay them the same price for a double sized storage account, better still a storage account that is split into, collector items (stackable items used to trade with collectors), mods, weapons, armour, specials (wintersday items etc..)!

And why is it obvious you can not hold that much gold? The limitations have been set by ANET, there is obviously that amount of money been dropped in the game otherwise how do the ebayers get the gold to sell? The obvious thing to me is that ANET seriously underestimated the popularity of the game and never thought through the implications of their "economy"

Anyway, sorry for the hijack!

I saw some of the shields posted but still think they are a little dodgy, not seen one in game so will reserve my opinion on them until I have one in my hand! Hey we all have something to aim for in the game don't we?

The shield is kinda nice, but these pudding-like skin doesn't fit any armor on any profession good, so I hope that it's not this bad on the other items

Gave up on DoA anyway, it's not worth the time, and the quest is repeatable... Sigh.
