Easiest LB farm I've found so far is to just clear out the Margonites in their citadel in Domain of Secrets. Pop out of Gate of Secrets, grab the bounty and kill em all.

Quick and easy, normally pick up at least 2 chests on the way.

I don't bother with the Shadow or Titans. Just rezone and take the Margonites again. Margonites don't seem to offer hardly any risk of death (unless you get mobbed) and are easily tanked with heroes/henches.

So..if I got it right the fastest way to farm lb points is to go to Domain of Secrets and take left path to margonite citadel and slay them all there. Repeat.

Any other ways to make around 1k/hour?

Didn't A-NET promise NEW methods of getting lightbringer and sunspear points?

I'd think the elite mission should at least give you 7x points per kill (considering how difficult it is).

If Domain of Anguish gave us 7 lb points per kill, my god, I could rack up some insane numbers per hour.

There's a way to kill hundreds (yes, hundreds. They spawn at insane rate) of those touch necros in Stygian area with using corner bodyblock, trapper, and Eles. We were pumping out dead torments like crazy. o_O
Countless drops, many rares, chests, etc. I can easily see that area turning into farming heaven.

As mentioned the Domain of Secrets Citadel is best place. I saw no change in the way of LB pts after update, still 2 LB pts per kill. Farming the Citadel of Margonites should get you about 350 Lb pts (that includes the several goups outside of citadel). If you hit the Warden for Monoliths and Servants that should get you about another 200 LB pts. I wouldn't do Titans either, they take too long to kill. On an average 30-45 min run, I rack up about 550 LB pts (Margonites, Monoliths & Servants). Usually see 5 chests, on average 2 of the 5 are gold. If you pick up all drops (weapons) and cash them in, that alongside the gold you get almost offsets the cost for 4 of the 5 keys I usually buy.

Don't write off Monoliths .. One of them dropped me a nice Max Gold Req 9 Elemental Sword

I don't see how to get LB points in Domain of the Anguish, because there are no res shrines with priests there... Except when I'm very wrong, you must have there bounty before you can get the LB points.

Is any of you LB farmers by accident a monk that can say me how I can make my points pretty quick on a fun way (so no AFK things - I know it's nerfed), but still rather fast. If I must call and heal at the same time, the mobs commonly pick me out to spike at, and I don't trust hero/henchman monks anymore since they let me down fairly easy.

I just want to add in my own discovery for LB farming...

Granted, this is not as high a yield as the others mentioned here, but it will be accessible to more players sooner and it will help you get level 3 the fastest (both skills).

Waht you need to do is grab the quest Between a Rock... in the Chantry of Secrets from the Acolyte of Whispers. you must have completed the quest A Brief Introduction before you will be able to take this quest.

Once you have the quest, leave from the Chantry of Secrets and proceed to the designated point on the map. Once you are there, you will need to run a bit farther and grab the Margonite Hunt from the Whispers Informant.

After completing the quest, go back to the Chantry of Secrets and abandon the quest, rinse, wash and repeat.

This will net you about 80 points in 10 minutes. If you did this non-stop, I rekon you can get between 450-500 in an hour.

Make sure to bring an MM (real or hero) and two paragons (real or General + Sogolon) and it should be like a walk in the park.

I think the current rate of LB points given in bounties is very good. Max titles never meant to be easy(or fast) to get. Boosting the bounties would be like giving 2 chest opens when you only opened one.

Grandmaster Treasure Hunter: 10,000 chests opened = 10,000 chests you have to open.

Holy Lightbringer: 50,000 Promotion Points = 25,000 monsters killed.

Change it to 5 points per kill and we'll call it even.

Chest are harder to find and it's not free to open. I would also like it if they give us lightbringer without equiping the title. This way I dont have to switch between titles.

You're telling me you can't kill 2 and a half enemies in time for every chest you run to?
That's five enemies in time you run two chests.

I don't think it's easy, but definitly not harder than Treasure Hunter title.

I'd rather have protector, cartographer, or Koabd showing, than the lightbringer title.
Yeah, I can switch it on and off whenever I enter the zone, but hey, I'm lazy

I'll try calderstrake's way of making LB point once, because that sounds me the most stable way. I mean that when you go on other ways like a kinda farm somewhere, you never sure wether or not you'll make it... At least, that's what I think about it.

And I also think that, yes, max titles are there to show you can something and not to get it while doing nothing, but I just want to know the quickest way, like someone wanna know it's faster to get Explorer title by killing each single mob in each area and then walk around, or walk around and try to survive.

And I agree on aohige too. I wanna put nicer titles on then LB, and as anyone I know, I'm lazy too

Nevermind it being a walk in a park, I can barely even complete the quest -________________-;

is there anything in particular you're doing that I don't know?
I try to fight at the res shrine (after my party gets wiped out obviously) but then some of my henchies and heroes decide to be hippies and invite the Kournan miltia from behind to join our private shindig.

Take a MM hero, paragon hero, paragon henchman, at least two melee hench/heroes and NO aoe dmg.

You dont want to stand at the res shrine, you want to stand in the entry-way to the res shrine right where the starburst is. Put the flag up in the archway while you run and grab the hunt from the whispers informant.

While you are at it.. use a rampager's or adventurer's scroll to get some free experience. Also, there is usually a Vabbian chest in that area you can grab after you complete the quest.

Anyone give me any tips on Hero/Hench setup for farming LB points in the Domain of Secrets? I'm a Warrior.

I completed the quest without thinking to farm it >.< Still, nightfallen garden is still there for me.

I used myself (restoration/channeling ritualist), Tahlkora (prot/interrupt), Master of Whispers (blood/communing), Zenmai (black strikes, moebius, anti-melee curses), Eve, Cynn, Kihm and Sogolon. I did use aoe damage (me - ancestor's rage, cynn - fireball, firestorm)

I didn't have any party deaths - I had ample melee-hate in the form of Shadow of Fear, enfeeble and blind. Having a diverse range of party healing and protection helped too I think running that quest could get old quick though - pretty sure I had to go through a boss to get to the quest location, which could slow things down

I farm light bringer points east of honur hill. Head east until you get to the shrine by the east gate (have to go through about 3 mobs) and talk to the whisperer at the shrine to get lightbringer rewards for slaying elementals
Clear the caves (which has just elemental mobs in close proximity)
The caves have 7ish groups of 3 djin (Ruby being the worst) and 2 groups of the fire lions (forget the name) each of these groups are 3/4 lions and a djin - there is also an elemental boss by this shrine which you can take or leave.
Thats about 30-35 elementals in just under 10 min depending on if you go for the boss
I know it takes under 10 mins as I use an XP increasing scroll that last 10 minutes to help level my heros.
Thats 70 LB points in 10 minutes without breaking a sweat.
Also you can go to the whispers shrine - zone out right by his shrine and then zone right back in and rince/repeat

This lets you farm point easily before you get to torment

I have been farming LB points in Nightfallen Jahai. Hopefully this is not an exploit so here goes:

I have previously completed "The Missing Patrol" quest and recieved "The Oddbodies" from Capt Yithliss. I never complete this quest (or it ruins this). I enter NJ through the Gate of Nightfallen Lands and go around to the back of the gate (left out of the gate) and get the oddbodies (the npcs not the quest), which give me 6 more *fighting* NPCs in addition to the 8 I already have. You get a monk, ele, warrior, ranger and a paragon ( can't remember what prof Yithliss is ). Now I can kill up to 2 groups at once with impunity. Adding a MM to my build makes it go even faster. You can blow through the Margonites very quickly (I dont even wait for nrg regen, I use a double XP/30 seconds scroll and goooooooo!)

FYI here is my team build if your curious:

Ranger (me mostly dmg)
Monk (Healing)
Ranger Hero (spamming winter/GC/FW)
Necro Hero (MM)
Warrior hench
Derv hench
Para hench
Monk hench

Oddbodies
Igraine (Ghost of a member of Ascalon's Chosen, Elementalist)
Garfaz Steelfur (Charr, Warrior)
Scout Ahktum (Ghost of a Sunspear, Ranger)
The Lost (Margonite, Paragon)
Thenemi (Forgotten, Mesmer)
Capt Yithliss (??)

I get 700-800 pts per run (if you are brave, you can trigger the spawn point of the torments by the Gate of Pain but dont get too close or the oddbodies quest will get completed)

Thanks,

Jimmy

If you want to gain Lightbringer Points while working for a greater goal, then do the Domain of Anguish.

Each area now has a Whiispers Informant at the start. Each area has hundred of monsters to kill just to complete the basic quests. The City and gloom offer a few hundred points each (300 each) and the Foundry and Veil offer several hundred points each (700-800). You can gain all these points while farming for Gems (whether to sell them or get Armbraces or Coffers is your choice). Since they added the Informants a week ago, my ele moved from 12,000 points to 20,000. I am going to have Rank 7 less than aweek from now then it'll be cruise control to rank 8.

I would save the area farming till you are close to the final tier and need to focus on it (And do it with heroes). But I think DoA farming is a good way to keep adding to your title in sizeable chunks while working for something bigger.

Hey Jimmy. I don't like such quest repeating, but in any case, I wanted to say, you can clear the Torment Demons of the quest themselves, then go into town and abandon the quest. Then go back to Nightfallen Jahai and you should find them in the same spot. Have you tried that? Those Torment demons spawns are a good 100 points every run.
