Is a Rit Hero useful? Yea.

But not to any higher degree than the othyer professions. After the buffs he can go Channeling and do some good dmg (assuming he can hold items effectively, and ancestors rage on people close to enemies). Also a support using weapon spells and some restoration would be nice, again assuming the AI can handle the skills.

After the SF build nerf I'd consider trying him out as a replacement for dmg.

-If you don't think RA is a waste of time, you should uninstall. -

lol, nice contribution...
I think Doa is the only thing thats a bit more dangerous than the rest of the pve world and therefore useful for those who like a challenge and of course have more than 4 hrs a day/night to spend on the missions...
As for Razah, the fact that he looks cool AND is the only Rt hero in the game makes him worth spending that bit of cash/hrs to get it.

No.... I might drive a fancy sports car and really like the look, handling and feel, but not want to drop 50k+ to own it. I can think of 1,000 examples of things that I would "like" but are not worth the effort, money, time needed to get them. Just valueing a ritualist as a party member by no means indicates that it's worth my effort to get him. I would value and would like to have Razah as a party member, but I don't have him. I have beaten nightfall with 7 of my characters, and I have Obsidian Tank, BiP, SP Monk, SF Nukers all ready to go into DoA.... if I wanted to. It's just a waste of time IMHO compared to what else I could do.... And it's a shame. If it wasn't so cookie cutter mindless build running in DoA I think it would be fun. The Deep? That was a fun Elite Mission. Why did they feel the need to isolate DoA to the top 1-2% of the population.... what a waste. (sorry for going off topic)

In my opinion...Ritualists are garbage. Flame me all you want.

So NO.

I'll never use Razeh.

Is Razah worth it? No, my friend, not at all. I've never gotten past the first couple of mobs in DoA, yet I want a Rit hero very badly.... since those are the only weapons I pick up. No "thanks" to ANET for the these missions from me, but more power to you hardcore players that have worked it out.

Razah's aquisition should definately be more reasonable to the average, and even the hard core players. Just my opinion of course...

Well, I ended up liquidating some assets and bought the 4 gems outright. It took less time than forming a group for DoA, and cost less than a set of 15k armor. Now if I want to take on DoA just for the challenge of it, I can, without Razah dangling like a carrot in front of me the whole time.

Is he worth the money? It's hard to say - my monk is the character with nothing henchable left to do. Certainly as the first unique and functional vanity item he's a cut above skins or titles. As a restorer he's better backup than monk heroes cloning my own builds, and I'm excited to take him into chapter 4. But I don't really think having him would have made getting through Nightfall any easier.

I would get him for my other characters before any skins or titles, but not before I've unlocked all the elites and kitted out all the heroes.
