For 2 of my 3 characters, the guards in my party window stayed at the top of the stairs. Is that supposed to happen? For giggles, I went mending and FDS on my warrior for that mission.

I hate that silent clown.

Steal Zehtuka's drink and He'll start attacking you and other noble's and Peasants. Makes good corpses for MMs as well.

heh. I think the problem is a bug in the mission where following the cutscene. There are 4 guards that supposedly join your party. But sometimes they'll stay stuck at the top of the stairs with the princes. That happened to me and the only reason I could beat those last 2 harpies was because I had throw dirt and degen skills. Had to lure one into the mob on the main floor (and almost died in the process). Then went after the other one with throw dirt and burning arrow.

Loved this mission, though it took me a couple of times to get pass the mime. Damn, mimes are evil

Its the humour and variety that makes nightfall my favourite of all 3 GW's so far. And for this mission, use npcs as cannon fodder, and bring some defence and healing if you need it. Stuff like leaders comfort or stand your ground etc. Skree aren't that tough so its not like you need to bring 6 attack skills or anything...

I've just done this mission for the second time. First time was with my dervish who is very difficult to kill so long as i keep my enchants up, but this time i did it with my warrior.

One of the easiest, cheapest and most powerful self-heals for ANY class is in the earth prayers line of the dervish. Put some points into it (i used 10 sacrificing strength which i don't really use) and equip Vital Boon and Signet of Pious Light. Vital boon will give you +80 max hp when active (at 10 earth prayers) and when removed heals you for 158. Sig of Pious Light removes one enchantment and heals for 90 (instant recharge when it removes an enchant). Keep Vital Boon up as often as you can and strip it with the Sig for a quick 248 heal. Repeated every 8 secs, and costing only 5 energy it's a very usefull combo. Then just equip attack/damage/degen skills and you're good to go.

Or you can just lure them back to the guards if you wanna be lazy

Tihark was pretty easy. I got 4/5 of the party thingies done plus I did the skree part all on a running build (LOL I didn't know that I had to fight skree at the end).

The trick is, as other people have pointed out, to use the random vabbian guards in the mission to deal damage while tanking for them (my running build worked fine for this---- ranger blocking/evasion ftw). The best part is that after the guards kill the skrees, they follow you to the next group so by the end of the mission I had 9 guards killing the skrees while the skrees targeted me. Not to hard to do.

EDIT:

The problem I had with this mission was that it glitched out on me and Bokka wouldn't take any of my items for his support. I ended up paying 5k (super ouchies) to continue the mission. Has that happened to anyone else? 0.o

I hate this mission with a passion and will never get masters on it due to the mime part (as I never use emotes and normally have them turned off, so have no idea what to do, also as I play one handed due to disability, typing things in quickly is a no go), but at least that means I haven't got to be arsed getting masters on any of the others.

Pompeyfan, you could always have a friend show you the various male ranger emotes (since that's what the mime uses) and then have a friend in your house, brother, sister, parent, etc, type them in for you. You watch what he does and tell them what to type. Also, since it's not shown in game, if you fail it, you can click on him and try again, you don't have to restart the mission.

Yeah - the mime I guess it would help if I knew all of the emotes, but I don't. There were three that I could not figure out, so it took me a while there. As a Dervish, the Harpies are not too hard, but it took me a while to get through all the same. Those guards kept dying so quickly....

the first time i did this mission the 4 guards who joined my team followed me and maked it easy to kill the harpies.. But yesterday i went for master, the 4 guards didnt followed me at all.. Even if i talked to them and all the others nearby.. But i managed to solo all the harpies anyway and got master.. But i think there is a bug in this mission..

i still couldnt finish this quest with my dervish because its so hard and the skree uses whirling defense, if someone can tell me how to fix the bug or how to solo the skrees on top of the stairs on the right i will be thank ful
Note: when i say top of stairs i mean this

2 here how to kill? ->*** 2 up here

2 skrees here 2 skreeshere

(where you are after cut scene)

You can try to lure them down from the stairs if there is someone of your alies alive in the center.. Otherwise try to bring some extra armor.. make a dervish/warrior and bring watch yourself and doylak signet.. Also be sure to bring a heal skill, and use it often..
I'm a warrior and ill post the build i used.. Evicerate, 2 other axe atacks dont realy matter, Doylak signet, heal signet, watch yourself, endure pain, (and sprint for the drunkyard bonus)

Ok I have necro/mon or rit secondary.

I have gone into this mission as an mm and then with curses.

Always, always the skree at the top of the stairs - well the one

Skree Singer? does me in. I had 6 minions at the last try and it should
have been enough.

By the time I was able to turn and run it was to late

Of course it was down to seconds - a couple more and I would have won lol

I'll try some of the above suggestions.

From the necros who made it - any suggestions on the skill bar would
be appreciated
