A Night In DoA
Hello everyone,
Saw a thread here ( closed one ) by Karlos, and thought we should share our achievement as well.
We tend to do these questable areas every nite to farm for gems and gold items.... and on top of that, this is the only part which is challeging in game.
Love to say that ANET definetly made DoA a place which is farmable, challenging and highly rewarding!
Hence last nite, couple of us friends thought we should see if we can work with a build that can be used in all four areas.. and so..
**My group didn't mind their names being mentioned in the picture**
We completed 4 parts of mallyx as shown in the picture above within 6 hours 18 minutes ( ofcourse this includes our breaks, my ISP issues... etc etc etc)
On top of that, we wanted to take picture above, hence, cleared entire room, which costed us about 20 min *sigh*
PS: For people who claim that Anet has made DOA so hard that it is the absolute waste of time... need to realize that they are playing a game. In other words, wasting their lives any way... really.
On the other hand, if you see the loot you collect while doing this run, i find it proper to spend a great deal amount of time.
Collecting gems which are worth over 400k in total within 6-10 hours is not a bad time mark if you think about it.
If we do a run faster than this one, will definetly let you guys know!
EDIT: Since last thread was closed due to Technical ERROR DISCUSSION, and here we countered NONE.. kindly do not Discuss any of them in here. Thankyou
Darkest Elemantal.

Wow. Congratulations!
I am sure I do not speak alone when I say I'd be interested in strategies/team build you used here!
Congratulations again, that screenshot is testament to a significant achievement.

I may potentially be missing something, but that screenshot seems contrived.
I would suggest that the absence of any "dots" to mark your progress through the previous three sections of the DoA in the minimap indicates that you had not in fact visited the three sections other than the foundry. Similarly, none of the dots indicate that you had rescued the third prisoner, General Y. It seems unlikely to me that this picture is not fraudulent, it could be achieved by people taking 4 titan gems each into the foundry, dropping them in the appropriate place and then picking them up again, all together.
I am sorry if this is not an accurate assessment of the screenshot, but maybe people would like to consider this before congratulating you :P

Not really, it is not, and you are definetly missing the technical aspect of reconnect feature here
I am sure someone else in riverside province forums can confirm this for me.
Which i do not wish to discuss in his thread as i mentioned above.

If you disconnect and reconnect through the new option, you will have no dots ( I have mentioned in very first post that i have been disconnecting )
You can give it a try your self
Otherwise, how did i get to the middle of foundry without even going through the rooms ?
Meet me in game sometime, and i will simply prove it to u by having you do it for me. Not a hard thing to prove, really

I do not mind your inaccurate assesement, people make mistakes it is fine by me.
In last, you can't get 4 titan gems if you don't make it through first 3 areas before foundry
It is not our fault that when you open chests, you dont get to see what is droped for you until you pick it up. contact anet for that. Even if we had opened chests and had let them stay on floor, you would have said the very same thing.
You will be able to find alot of posts from me with regards to DoA.
Atleast i have been known to finish these quests in early days of DOA where majority of the people were discussing "DoA's Tough Requirements and Impossibly Hard Atmosphere".
Thankyou for your kind asesement by the way . It is average human nature to consider every acheived thing fraud at first which is not done by them ^_^. No harm done.
Kindly state any other concern if you wish to, i will try to clear them as much as i can.

Yes it's for real, and can be done fairly easy (4 area run) now with the right build and people. DoA is like a cash crop for people that know what is up. Ive made millions in the last couple of weeks and Im sure others have made way-way-way more than that.
Now the real lucky bastards are those who get mini-pets or ambraces from coffers...and I get ELIXERS of Ewwwwwwww...

Well - I guess a disconnection is a fair point. It was precisely the absence of dots from the earlier rooms etc... that led me to think that think initially that it might be a cleverly adapted screenshot, but if you made it around the 4 areas in that short time, then congratulations to you all.
I know that it is possible, it is simply a case of finding a group which is capable of carrying it out PuG's don't seem to be coordinated enough and not being in a guild that actively plays the DoA, I am frequently forced to play with PuG's.

time wise DoA is too long to complete all the quest...
I would go more in DoA if it wasn't 4-6 hours to complete...
Question
How many weapons do Mallyx usually drop and how much does Mallyx's Edge cost?

every mallyx weapon is being sold for way over 100k + 50e... despite the re-used skins (two of the weapons have unique skins) there seems to exist a randomness on the weapon drops because there are more than 8 mallyx's weapons and only 8 persons... and only 8 drop at a time... so two are always left out... and they are VERY VERY VERY difficult to gain so i think its a fair price...
DoA isn't 4-6 hours to complete... DoA is four parts... each part can be independently done... you can do one part in one hour... go to sleep... do another part and so on... except for the last part i think as the last part counts also with the killing of mallyx...
