Default Why isn't my Moddok Crevice Mission ever turning to an explored area?

Any reason?

I have done the mission twice now and its all still cloudy...

Moddok Crevice (and the explorable instance of that area, Bahdok Caverns) is "unmappable" in the sense that it is one of a handful of areas in the game that will always be cloudy on the world map (M). You can uncover the area on the mini map (the map displayed by pressing the [U] key) but it will become covered again if you leave the area and come back.

Because they can never be uncovered on the world map these types of areas do not count towards the Cartographer title. For a list of other areas like this see Guildwiki's Grandmaster cartography guide.

If you're wondering how to get into the explorable version of the mission (called Bahdok Caverns) - you can only enter after you've completed the Moddok Crevice mission and you have to either talk to an NPC (Gatekeeper Kahno) standing at the entrance to the Caverns in the Moddok Crevice outpost or enter from Wehhan Terraces.
