Default Help with Last Day Dawns

I tried it with my friends today and failed many times, one of them is a elementalist, he said fire damage spells are better than water even aganist the Titans since its basic damage is very high, we argued about it for a while, I want to ask about it and can anyone tell me the order to kill those enemies? I've heard someone said take out the Titan at last but when we were trying it we found the titan deal huge damage to our tank and king's fighter especially the last group, will it be good to kill Titan after sparks?

Your Targetting prioitys should be something like this:

Sparks are the most deadly of the titans eliminate them First! Then take out any Charr since they die nice and easy and it cuts down the damage your party takes quickly (Generally kill Monks, then Eles, then Rangers, then Mesmers, then Necros, then Warriors), then take out Hands/Fists of the titans to keep there number low since large numbers of them cause big trouble.,Take out the Burning Titans/ Titan bosses since they will then become Necro Titans which do much reduced damage. Then take out the Necro Titans, and any Fist/Hands spawned by them.

If you want to have a Fire Elementalist (which isnt very effective Vs Char or Fire Titans) Then the best way is to have a ranger in your party who drops Winter, this is convert the fire damage to Ice in effect doubling your damage output. Note that you will also be taking Ice damage instead of Fire.

Keep the Monk Npc alive at all costs since without him you can get easily overwhelmed and he'll keep Adelburn alive reasonable well.

Be aware the Burning titans main damage dealing isnt its attacks its its burning effect on all nearby enemys, which means where u can dont stand next to it unless you happen to be a tank thats meant to keep it busy.

Then can I take Titan lord before Charrs(just nuke it to Risen Ashes)?
And if I can not find a ranger, shall I bring a fire or water ele?

Once you kill the Titan lord it summons the next wave of enemys if i remember correctly, hence why its best to leave him to last or for as long as possible.

A Water Ele would be much more effective than a Fire Ele but if that person has no experience playing as a Hydromancer then its probably better to let them play as a pyromancer However the same goes for Geomancers and Aeromancers, they can also be much more effective than Pyromancers here due to AL ignoring/ Penetrating skills but if there isnt an experienced one around then settle for an experienced Pyromancer.

When i completed this mission for the first time i was a Ranger with a party of 2 Monks and a Warrior since there was no others in sight

So it's good to kill the last group's titan first?

The Last group has 3 Titan Lords you have to kill all 3 and any other nearby titans to complete the quest.

I think its safe to say your friend has no idea what they're talking about...

We did this quest only a couple of days ago with the alliance. 4man team. 1 Warrior, 2 Eles, 1 Monk. Don't recall what the Warrior used... The other ele ran E/R Fire nuking w/ Winter. I used a Shatterstone/Vapour offensive build. Monk was a healer w/ Prot Spirit n Mend Ailment.

I dunno how effective the Fire build was... but Shatterstone/Vapour kicked out alot of damage. If you got lucky and hit the Healing Signet of the smaller titans you could get about 400 damage from the 2nd Shatter+Blade.

Took us 3 attempts but we did it in the end. The final mob of 2 Armageddon Lords is nasty.

I don't know if this will help at all but I use Heroes with these builds:

Me: W/R Dragon Slash and Winter
Zhed: E/Me Searing Flames and interupts
Olias: Ward of Elements, Melee, Sandstorm, Eruption, Maelstrom (My Sousuke is a low level)
Dunkoro: Just some random Healer's Boon thing.

Default fire+winter

I just did this one with my ranger/ele, fire bow+conjure flame, lava arrows, and winter to convert it to cold damage. Also brought fire ele nuker hero. Its easier to create a lot of fire damage and convert it than go with cold to begin with. All players/heroes should use some kind of elemental weapon, cold would be best in case you are out of winters range. I used choking gas/practiced stance against the ele enemies, ignite arrows against others. I am finding Defend North Kryta harder with only hero and hench, maybe because my ranger doesnt have a decent tank hero and Little Tom dies young on this quest. Going to need help, I think.

Agreed. I beat Hell's this way once with some guildies. I brought Winter and the ele's fire damage, along with my ignite arrows, did massive damage.

Oh, here's an idea: If you've capped it in Hell's yet, bring Greater Conflagration.

[skill]Greater Conflagration[/skill]

And if you bring up Winter, there will be even more cold damage hitting the titans.

In general terms, most of the time, elemental dmg is elemental dmg. Some mobs do take a certain percentage more dmg versus a particular element, but I have found it to be negligible.

Unless you as a player are wearing specific protection against a certain element then whatever kind of elemental dmg it is doesn't matter.

The titans however do take more dmg from things other than fire magic, BUT I still haven't found a water build I like very much and find most water spells to be less capable of pure offensive output than the other elements.

So the reason to bring a fire ele is because they can put out fast dmg. Winter helps. You don't really need Greater Conflagration, there are better elites to use your slots on.

Bring a warrior, an ele of your choice, a quality monk with good energy management, a hex removal and a condition removal, and a R/ or /R with Winter for the last spot. The hardest part about this is really learning which order to kill things and making sure you don't get too much agro. An MM would be decent, just need to make sure you interrupt the Titans lava font or it will shred up your minions prety easily.

Or... you could bring a useful elite? The game has elemental mods for a reason. Hell, even Kindle w/ Winter works.

Those 2 titans are a major pain in the arse. Its best to try and keep the priest alive as long as possible, giving him a prot spirit helps or the 2 titans just floor him instantly. Advisable to send in the highest AL character ahead of the rest to take the initial blast of damage. The simplest method is to fill any spare slot possible with Prot Spirit on any other caster. Least this way you can tank the Lords without dieing. Kiting making them shift target is the worst thing you could possibly do, it would just nullify any protection your monk put up.

Ok I finished it today with 1 fire elementalist and 2 necromancers with Discord, I'm a monk and i bring Winter myself, the 2 warrior npcs died in the 4th wave, the priest npc got owned at the beginning of the final wave. But with winter and three good DPS we nuke the 2 Armageddon Lords to Risen Ash quickly, rest of them are easy.

Gotta reset this thread. Over the weekend and last weekend I did all the titan quests with heroes/henches twice. If you run a decent build and put the same in for your heroes, it's actually fairly easy. The fastest Titan Source and LDD runs I've done came this way the last 2 weeks.

Last night, did LDD with me (assassin spamming death blossom / moebius strike), Olais (mm), Dunk (heal with a few prots like rof, ps), and Jin as barrage/interrupt. That's right, just 4. I only died once because i over extended, and the only other death was one of the King's bodyguards.

I did this quest recently and found a really easy way to complete it. It wasn't my idea; I read it on the discussion page of the wiki article. Just have a bonder slap a few enchantments on Adelbern. Cast Winter to avoid the burning degen (this isn't even necessary, but it helps) and stay back while the king charges in. Don't worry about the assistants, even the priest; you'll find that they're irrelevant. You can fight if you want to, although Adelbern is more than capable of taking them all down solo if you just keep him alive.

That is the exact reason you bring greater conflagration and winter. I did this with my Dervish, Jin(winter and greater conflag), Dunkoro(Boon healer), and Olias(MMw/spinal shivers and/or shivers of dread) disable winter, greater conflag, spinal shivers, and shivers of dread, and cast them manually you gotta be able to macro your necro to keep spinal shivers and/or shivers of dread on armageddon lords. thsie works well because minions attack whoever this combo makes it so anything they attack will get interrupted whereas your heroes will only attack the monster you call. it worked for me no deaths not even the kings buddies. this method involves a decent amount of macro skills

My team just started out at Yaks, team size is 6 there. We ran down to the quest area and beat it very fast, no deaths.

We were 2 warriors, 1 ranger, 1 monk, 1 nuker, and an mm necro.

of course with 6 level 20 ANYTHINGS, this is pretty easy. But finding 6 people at Yaks at a given time nowadays is a near impossibility. My point is that heroes work great if given half decent setups, rather than the level 10-ish henches there.

I was able to complete this quest as Earth elementalist tank. (Terra tank build) with some additional AoE earth spells. Together with warrior tank and healer + defender monk heroes. It took long but we made it.
