Okay, so this is all I need (bonus, already did the mission a long time ago) to get P.O.C. I have visited the camp many many times, and rarely find enough people to fill a competent group. I feel for people trying to go through it their first time, if they need help. I know better than to hope GW will reduce the difficulty as that would be too much to hope for. (I am sure some had no problem and good for them, not everyone has their talent).

Any tips, tricks? I have done the backdoor method and gone right and killed everything that moved and still lose the turtles in the first attacks. I'm guessing 5 monks are needed with mending and/or life bond on each baby turtle, which means I'm s.o.l as all I ever see there is warriors.

It will bug me to give up on P.O.C. when I'm so close, but that might be the case...ugh

Any alternate ideas? I'm thinking getting masters means having a fullm group of real players and forget heroes and hench correct? (except as extra healers, a good mm hero can help with the waves of kurzicks to an extent I think)

5 Monks? Not likely. If you've gone the 'backdoor' method and still lost then you probably didn't do it correctly...either that or you've got idiots for party members. If you haven't already done so go take a look at the Wiki, they pretty much cover it. Also, stay close to the turtles and make sure you make good use of the smoke canisters. When the Kurzicks show up, drop them on the young turtles (no 'friendly fire').

And yes, you generally do need humans for this, or at least, 2 humans and 6 heroes. Really, Cantha is the easiest of the 3 to get Protector on and there are harder missions then Gyala.

I've done the wiki way, but by myself w/heroes/hencies, with less than stellar results. Unless I get REAL lucky and find a competent group, I'm prolly gonna write this off. I should have done masters when factions first came out and the camps were a lot busier. I mainly wanted to get P.O.C before I bail and try LOTR.

Thanks for the suggestions though..

you DON'T need humans if you do the backdoor way, you can completely hero/hench it. However, if you don't have heroes, then yeah..humans might be optimal BUT I've done with just the normal henchmen before, as well with heroes and hench.

You have to be in the right spot when you go through the backdoor way so the mobs don't run into you and lots of flagging and pulling is required. Also, if you use heroes you can target a turtle and have Dunk or Tahl heal them. They'll still heal them anyway, same with the npcs.

When I was playing my monk, I used Dunk, Olias (MM), and Zhed (SF with Meteor Shower) for my heroes and the henchmen were Seaguard Eli, Talon, either Daeman or Hala, and..something else. I might have tossed in Gita for protection because I sometimes get lazy when I'm playing by myself and it was just another insurance :P So depending on what you play you can vary it, though I think I had the same when I did it on my sin.

I've only ever done it through the backdoor, and it might be easier for me since I've done it multiple times. If you still need help, send me an PM (IGN Esthera Inara) and I'll help you

if you only lose at the first wave...

put one canister right in the middle of the turtles when they stop moving... the siege attacks overwhelm the healing power of the kurzick guys so the warriors die and then you only have to terminate the Juggernauts and the Kurzick Monks...
